again my 87 maxima is for sale. has 212k miles on it...has not been driven much in last few years mostly just in the neighborhood. will start with a new battery but may need an alternator. also has some electrical issues which i think may be attributed to the fuse panel getting wet... i am assuming a new fuse panel would fix the problems. body is in very good condition with only a couple of very minor dings and one very small patch of rust on the trunk. is an automatic with all power options including sunroof. tings i have replaced, struts(right before i stopped driving car regularly) brakes all around, front rotors, radiator, waterpump/timing belt, seals in engine, axles, transmission(bought a used one in excellent condition) really would like to find a buyer who would take the time to bring this car back to life and continue to drive it for years to come. i am asking $600 but will not refuse any reasonable offers. pics are located on www.myspace.com/subiechick4life in the my maxwell album. any other questions u can email me at subiechick4life@yahoo.com I hate to get rid of this car, it means alot to me, but i cant find a mechanic who doesnt tell me that its not worth fixing, and right now my everyday driver is my priority.

 

How did the fuse panel get "wet?" What type of electrical issues?

What's the condition of the HVAC system?

 

well either the sunroof is leaky or possibly the windshield...metal piece next to fuse panel is rusty. the blower for the heater isnt working but when it did the ac worked great. sometimes the alarm will go off while you r driving. something is draining the battery...could be the alternator as i have had the car for 8 years and it was replaced with a used one before i bought it. the engine fuse has been re routed via fusebale link and works fine. thats all i know is wrong electrically

 

sad but it looks like this car may end up in the junkyard....
