96 SE 5speed FS, 3.5 swap, Supercharged, built tranny, etc.-- TN

CAR IS SOLD!!!!

1996 Nissan Maxima SE
Pebble Beige converted 5spd
180,xxx miles on the body
30,000 miles on the 3.5 engine
4,000 miles on built transmission
Bose stereo, Moonroof, leather seats, tan interior

- 3.5 swap with the knock-off JWT cams and cam adapters/3.0 timing equipment. Bought with around 24k miles, installed in Spring of 06. Mobil 1 synthetic since installed. Brand new NGK iridium plugs (one step colder) Brand new water pump, timing chain kit and tensioners and gaskets were installed during the swap. Phenolic LIM gaskets to reduce heat.
-Intercooled Vortech V1 S-trim S/C kit with Deatschwerks 550cc injectors and JWT F/I ECU
- All 3” aluminum intercooler piping, 3” in/out intercooler, blitz blow-off valve, Z32 MAF, 3.5” S/C CAI, currently on 2.70” Reichard racing anti-slip pulley at around 12 psi
-Built 5spd transmission. VLSD trans, 3rd and 4th PPG straight cut gears, Cryo and REM surface finishing treatment on 1st, 2nd, and 5th gears and engagement rings, and all new bearings and seals. Rebuild was done by me, and shimmed properly. Redline gear oil. Installed Spring of 07. Very few maxima trannies ever built to be this strong.
-70mm TB with adapter on 3.5 intake manifold all hand ported by me
- Drag setup 26x8.5 MH slicks mounted on 15x7.5 lightweight Rota Slipstream black wheels.
-Cattman headers
-Electric cutout installed in the test pipe
-2.5 inch b-pipe with bullet resonator and hooker aero-chamber muffler
-Cooling Mist Water/meth injection, activated by boost
-Hardwired walbro fuel pump and Kenne-Bell boost-a-pump with an adjustable fpr
-SSR wheels 16x7.5 with 245/50-16 Nitto NT 555R drag radials in front, 225/50-16 street tires in back
-B&G springs and KYB AGX adjustable shocks.
-Almost new ACT Xtreme PP and street disc, fidanza aluminum flywheel, SS clutch line
-SAFC II tuned by me
-Zeitronix wideband O2 sensor, comes with laptop connector and software, I use my palm with pocketlogger software
-Slotted rotors in front, cross-drilled slotted in rear with axis metalmaster pads
-FSTB installed, RSB included but not on the car
-New ES polyurethane front control arm bushings, new wheel bearings in the front, new ball joints
-ES polyurethane engine cradle bushings
-Polyurethane engine mounts front and rear homemade by me (along with a ratchet strap to keep the engine from moving)
-Stainless braided brake lines in the front with speedbleeders, speedbleeders in rear with stock lines.
-Single gauge pod with autometer boost gauge

I am sure there is a bunch of stuff that I am forgetting.

The car made 273whp all-motor and ran 12's in the 1/4 mile.
I made 366whp on 6 lbs of boost and ran low 12's with a bad clutch.
I am now on 12lbs of boost and have run 11.6 at over 120 mph. Dynoed 431whp at 11 psi. It is currently the 4th fastest maxima on the drag times list but it is the 2nd fastest one that is still driving the roads.

The body is not in great shape, but overall it looks fair. There are a few dents, scratches, and rock chips in the paint on the fenders, bumpers, etc. The paint on the rear spoiler is fading and the rear bumper is scratched. They have never bothered me enough to fix them. The interior is fair. It is showing some signs of its age.

The car has had some weight removal done to it. Heat shields, front crash bar was removed when the intercooler was installed; I have it and will include it with the car. The rear crash bar was removed and I do not have it. Many people feel that this is unsafe and I agree if this car was to become a daily driver for someone that these bars should be in place. Most of the trunk material was removed, as well as the EVAP and EGR when the 3.5 swap was done. The car will not pass emissions. The car has never been in a collision, all the body panels are factory.

Add all of the big ticket items up if I was to part it out and it comes to well over $14,000, so no low-balling please.
There are countless other parts and $$$ spent on this car, you know how quickly it can add up. I have alot of blood, sweat, and tears in this car. The car has a clean TN title in my possession. I purchased the car from my uncle in NC in May 2000 and he purchased it new.
If you are seriously interested in the car PM and we can talk details. I really don’t want to have to part it out. This would be a good price for someone interested in parting it out if you have the time and desire to do it. I would rather the potential buyer come look at the car in person so there are no surprises. The tune on the car is near perfect, the only glitch is on a cold start. You have to give it gas to keep it from dying for 5-10 seconds after starting and then it is fine, it idles great. I know of many boosted maximas with large injectors that have cold start issues, this is not as bad as some. This is only when the weather is cold, in the summer it is fine.

The car will be sold as-is. The link in my sig has pictures and info on the car on various pages.

mods dont add value to the car, so your car is actually worth about $3,500-to $4500.

Wow!! You really don't know what you are talking about. If I had 7K right now I would honestly love to own this car. To me a true maxima enthusiast the price that is put on this car a steal. Its hard work to Mod a car like this. I have half the stuff he has and probably 100whp less and it was a pain and alot of sleepless nights to get there. This car is way under priced for what it has and I hope the seller gets what hes asking for!! Good luck with the sale bro. Hopefully it goes to someone that keeps her alive (a true maxima enthusiast)!!!!!!!
