FS: 99 Maxima SE-L AT in NYC
1999 Nissan Maxima SE Limited
Automatic transmission
Black exterior
Gray cloth interior
Bose audio with aftermarket Pioneer head unit with iPod hookup
101,7xx miles
Purchased 4/4/99; one owner
The good:
The engine is very strong; car pulls really strong.
The transmission shows no problems.
The tires are good Michelin radials and still have at least 70% life in them.
Clean title; no major damage to the car in 10+ years of ownership.
The bad:
Driven and parked for over 10 years in NYC.
There is damage to the driver's side:
- Rear panel, behind the fuel door: hit while stopped at red light. This is the worst of the damage.
- Rear door: hit while parked, overnight.
- Front door: very minor, hit while parked at work by a woman in an SUV.
- Front panel, around wheel well (this is difficult to see in the pics): very minor, swiped at low speed by a woman making a right turn from the left lane.
- Rear door, at bottom: swiped by garbage truck while parked.
- Rear bumper, at the far left, minor: this is more of a scuff. I was stopped at a red light off a highway when a guy in a van sped right into me. Fortunately, I noticed him and moved at the last second and avoided most of the impact. He only scraped the rear bumper and chipped the tail light.
The bumpers are scratched up, especially the rear (this can't be seen in the pictures).
The brakes need work. They feel mushy. Calipers?
The driver side fog light was stolen a long time ago.
That's nothing less than full disclosure.
Here are some fresh pics from this morning (sorry about the snow):

I'm asking $3,000 but I'm slightly negotiable. Despite the cosmetic issues, the car is definitely worth it, especially if you need a reliable daily driver and don't care too much about how it looks.
Let me know if you're interested. If I'm to sell this it needs to happen very quickly. Otherwise, I'll just fix the brakes and give it to my sister.
Thanks and feel free to chime in.

A few more things:
1. The engine & tranny mounts were replaced on 3/29/08.
2. The rear calipers & discs were replaced on 4/12/08.
3. The ignition coils & spark plugs were replaced on 3/22/08.
4. The exhaust was replaced in late 2008 (not sure what date exactly).
Oil changed every 3,000 miles. Car has valid NYS inspection sticker and never had a problem passing the inspection. The headlight bulbs were replaced about two months ago.
Some more:
Wipers were changed less than a month ago.
No mods were ever made to the car other than the above-mentioned headunit. The car was never raced or abused (well, other than having been driven on what passes for streets around here).
