FS: 2000 Maxima SE 5 speed $2500 OBO (CT)
After debate whether or not to fix the problems or not, I've decided to sell the car. I have, as the title suggests, a 2000 Maxima SE with a 5 speed manual transmission located in Connecticut. Car has 165,xxx miles on it as of today. Exterior is Gray Lustre, with a black leather interior. I'm not entirely sure how much to ask for this or how much it's worth, so it's clearly OBO. Getting some feedback on price would be good too. If car does not sell I will consider parting out, granted I can find time and space.
Modifications:
Injen CAI
Clear side markers
Options:
16" 5-spoke wheels
Bose sound
Sun roof
I never got too into modifications with this car. I always wanted to but I just never had the money.
Problems:
SES code P0430- I can hear what sounds like a hole the the precat, but I haven't noticed any dip in performance/acceleration.
Transmission- Car will pop out of first gear, but all other gears work fine.
Tires- Usable but will need changing soon. Small rust bubble above the rear passenger tire.
Overall- 8/10
Exterior- 9/10
Interior- 9.5/10
Mechanically- 5?/10
I am willing to drive to meet up/deliver to people within reason, particularly down farther south (family in Alabama).
Best to reach me by email: redrelyt12@yahoo.com or text/call: 860-two zero eight-6981
I'm available to answer any other questions regarding the car.
Thanks

dude, a tranny swap isnt long and drawn it,its pretty easy.. im sure i could get someone to do it for you that doesnt work during the day fairly cheap....if not you could always sell it real cheap..id be willing to buy it if it was at a dealer an i could make payments lol

haha getting someone to do it isnt the problem, i work at a oil shop and id be able to use the lifts making it much easier but working 60+ hours a week is what makes it tough, but me paying for the tranny is the problem at this point, im sure we could work something out with payments if you wanted to seeing as you arent too far away

I'm actually in CT, and looking to buy a Max. I prefer the 96-99 style, but would buy a newer one for the right price.
Any odea what is wrong with the tranny? I mean, does it HAVE to be replaced as others are suggesting? Or could it be a minor repair?
Ill try to give you a call tomorrow, maybe we can set up a time to meet.

I took the car to a tranny shop the other day, they recommend replacing it. First gear is shot so as of right now, I'm looking for a tranny to install myself, should be buying it within a few days
