Hey guys. My '98 is turning into a bit of a money pit and I'm looking to get into something a little newer. Here's the catch: I need to get rid of the '98 in the process. Therefore, I need to go through a dealer. So basically I'm asking if anyone in the PA/NY/MD/NJ/DE area would check their local classifieds for me I'd like to get an '02-'03 6-speed, preferably under 90k miles. I'm not hugely picky on the color.

Thanks to anyone's effort! I'm really having trouble finding anything like that locally and I've already tried several classifieds sites online (cars.com, autotrader, etc.). Even a recommendation of some other sites to go to to help me find one would be great.

I'm only planning on keeping the new car a year or two, and I want to buy one with lower mileage. My '98 is only a money pit because it's got 143k miles on it, and I'm really exaggerating the money pit part.

I like this car, but I'm not attached to it. I'm ready for something new.

Probably only if I can find a 6-speed. Otherwise, I may go for a Mazda6 or something where manuals are more plentiful.

Under $10k. I feel like anything over $10k for what I'm looking for is overpaying out the wazoo.

Maybe 200 or 300 miles. I don't really have time for really long trips until this summer.

You do know most mazdas that offer a 5 speed are 4 cylinders...the 6 cylinder stick mazda6 is HARD to come by....and honestl ive owned 4 cars since i sold my maxima and regret EVERY second of it with the money ive spent on repairs to these other vehicles my maxima could have been super charged and fixed for less.....im currently seeking a 6mt maxima...theres 5 aroud my area through dealers...one of which is in springfield mass....83k 6mt gold dropped on 18 inch 6th gen wheels fully loaded aside from navigation...hes asking 8990 for it through a bank

I have noticed most of the 5-speeds are 4-cylinders (and I'm obviously looking for a V6 coming from a Maxima), but it still seems like V6 5-speeds are easier to find than a 6-speed A33B. Just what I'm seeing, obviously I don't have production numbers to back that up

Also, I'm very much looking for a STOCK car. No mods. There are a number of reasons why, primarily my concern with reliability. If a car is modded, chances are the previous owner beat the living hell out of it. Also, after having purchased my current Maxima already-modded, I can say that I would have done quite a few things differently than the previous owner did.

I have not. Truth be told I haven't had the chance to go look at anything because of work. It will be another 2 weeks probably until I have a chance to actually go look at cars.

I went to test drive a black '03 auto about a week ago in Pittsburgh and never even sat in the driver's seat. It looked too good to be true and it was... evidence of shoddy repair work from a front end collision was everywhere. I think that was some higher power's way of telling me not to settle for an auto

I appreciate the offers, but I am headed to VA on Saturday to buy the '03 TE that LameUsername posted. Best of luck to both of you! I will pass word along locally about both your vehicles.

Thanks to everyone who helped me in my search for a new Max. Today I picked up an '03 TE 6-speed and I couldn't be happier!
