For sale is my tastefully-modified 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE.
For the past two years, I have absolutely cherished this car. During my ownership, I’ve invested a lot of time and effort into transforming her from a plain stock Maxima into an elegant and fun-to-drive sports sedan. As much as I love my Maxima, it’s time for me to upgrade to an S2000.
I bought the car in May 2009 with 91,000 miles on it, completely stock. Since then, I’ve installed several performance and cosmetic modifications, listed below:
Performance mods:
- 2005 Maxima 17" alloy rims
- Kumho Ecsta ASX UHP tires, 235/45R17 (installed 3K miles ago)
- Tokico Illumina struts (installed 5K miles ago)
- Tein H-Tech springs (installed 5K miles ago)
- eBay front strut tower bar (painted red)
- GAB intake with Apex'i Power Intake Filter
- N1 2.5" catback exhaust (stainless steel, dual 3.5" muffler tips)
- Magnaflow 22" resonator (B-pipe and cat delete)
- Shinjiduo's grounding kit with red Stinger 4 AWG wiring
Cosmetic mods:
- HID retrofit (5000K D2S bulbs in E55 projectors)
- CCFL angel eyes
- LED turn signals/parking lights (matching 5000K color)
- SE tail lamps
- Red strut bar and engine cover
- Pioneer head unit with iPod/MP3 integration
As you can probably tell, I’m very detail-oriented. I’ve kept records of all work done to this car, as well as a spreadsheet of modifications and maintenance items. During my ownership, the following have been replaced: alternator, battery, starter motor, cam/crank sensors, brake pads, belts, O2 sensor, CV axles, and outer tie rod ends. Along with regular maintenance, the car has had some body work done as a result of two separate minor accidents which were a few months apart. The rear bumper has been replaced but the paint is perfectly matched.
I’m asking $6000 FIRM. The KBB value is $5,470 for good condition, but this car has over $2K in mods. I will ignore any and all lowball offers. Title is in hand.

Damn, if you lived anywhere near Missouri I would have bought this car in a heartbeat, although the two minor accidents would give me some concern. Looks very nicely taken care of. I just had my 2000 GXE totalled in an accident, got $5500 from the insurance company and it had 187,000 miles on it (I ****ered). I just bought a 2000 tan GLE with only 108000 miles on it, very nice condition, leather, sunroof, upgraded stereo, with some minor maintenance issues, for $6200 from a dealer (NADA books a 2000 GLE out at $7475). I can't believe you haven't sold it with all those mods for $6000. So has this sold yet?
