While I'm very sorry to let it go, the time has come to sell my 2000 SE 5-speed. I never thought I'd sell it, but I couldn't pass up the deal I found on a 2000 Audi S4. I can't afford to keep two cars, so here it is.

It has been an amazing car and has been maintained meticulously, just like anything else I own. I perform all maintenance myself so documentation is limited, but rest assured it is well maintained. Oil changes are every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1 5W-30 synthetic and a purolator PureONE filter (occasionally a mobil 1 filter if it is on sale).

In my opinion Gray Lustre is the best color the maxima came in and this one really shines. It is not particularly clean in the pictures, but it looks so great when washed that I often get asked if is a 2007 or 2008...needless to say, it looks great for its age. There is a tiny bit of rest on the passenger side wheel well, but this is extremely common and easily repaired by a body shop that can weld.

It comes with two sets of wheels, the stock 17 inch wheels are in near perfect shape with almost no scratches but are not currently on the car because the tires are aging. The set on the car are from a 97 se, are 16 inches and are wrapped in Toyo Proxes 4's. The tread is getting low, but they are still in decent shape.

The interior is in excellent condition and comes complete with the option of full black leather or full gray cloth. I have both the leather and cloth door panels, so take your pick and I'll have it set up with whatever you choose. The leather is in great shape with the only marks being a slight tear on the driver's seat. The rest is flawless. In the pictures the car has the cloth in because I recently took it to Florida (black leather + florida do NOT agree). The leather has been stored in my basement and is ready to go back in if you choose.

The car currently has 131,000 miles. The last 30,000 miles have been straight highway miles. They were all from commuting up and down the turnpike and few were from my 3,000 mile trip to and from Key West (the car performed excellently and I would not hesitate to take it that far again). I got the car at 86,000 miles and since then have replaced a few things. Hopefully knowing these will alleviate some worries about common problems. I know a LOT these cars so I can give you a pretty good idea of what shape it is in. At 90,000 miles the ISB (input shaft bearing) went out and by 100,000 miles had destroyed the original transmission. I had the transmission rebuilt by "Gibraltar Transmission" in East Brunswick, NJ. EVERYTHING was replace and rebuilt. The grand total was $2,600 and included a new clutch. The transmission has not even hiccuped since and I expect it to last for a very long time. The shop seemed extremely reputable and new a lot about the ISB problem and new to make sure it was loaded correctly when rebuilt. I have the receipt for this repair.

I replaced a precat around 110,000 miles to get rid of P0430 (I hate when the CEL is on).

I also had the front passenger side wheel bearing replaced at around 120,000 miles (I have the receipt for this as well).

I replaced the back driver's side wheel bearing myself at 125,000 miles.

To my knowledge there are only two problems with this car, after they are resolved I don't see any issue with it for a very long time. It needs a new front driver's side wheel bearing and I believe the IACV is on it's way out. Other than this the car is excellent.

I am sad to let it go and have had a great experience with this car. I even installed the BOSE radio myself...sounds pretty good if you ask me, but it's easily reconverted if you so choose.

wish I had an extra 4900 to purchase your car. I miss my 2000 make sure whatever its replacing is GOOD because the se is such a great car..and you got a 5spd even more rare...GLWS. If you have the car still in 6 months..Ill come to you and pick it up. lol
