Nice 63k mile T.E. Maxima 6spd for sale
I ran across this vehicle in my search and communicated with the owner. He was very nice in the couple emails we exchanged so I thought why not list it here and not only give him extra exposure, but more importantly, get a nice Maxima 6 spd to a member here. The only reason I am not flying out right now for this car is because it's white, and I just don't like white on vehicles. If this was a Merlot Pearl, it would be in my garage!

I have no relation to the individual other than a few emails, but like I said, he was a real nice person even though I was not interested in his color and hey...a Titanium Edition 6spd with only 63k, hopefully someone on here scoops it up!

Yeah, wonder if he copy and pasted the options or didn't realize it. He was real friendly, so I'm sure an email to him will get the info. I really wish this was a black leather interior and the Merlot Pearl, I would be all over it...lol, I'm getting antsy to find a car but being a picky s.o.b. looking for low low miles and certain colors is like being the kid in santa's lap. Hopefully something comes up.
Thanks, something has to pop up sooner or later! I saw that car, it's nice, but I never liked the newer body styles as much. The 2002/2003 are my favorite Maximas, I've always wanted one, and patiently waiting to strike at the right one! Can't wait to post in the 5th gen forum with pics of one.
I thought the list price on the above car was a bit high, but the seller is negotiable and I have seen that kind of car sell for about $9,000. You would be amazed how fast a 50,000-60,000 mile Maxima loaded goes when listed for $9999. Literally 2-3 weeks if not less. Last month right when I started looking to purchase I got stupid on a 03 6spd Merlot Pearl loaded with 57k miles and NAVI! Listed for $9999 a couple days into my search and they wouldn't budge $1 off the price when I called. I figured I'll call them in a few days and see if they'll budge...car sold 3 days later. I didn't think a manual would sell that fast, but in 3 days they moved it. I am beyond kicking myself for not just swallowing the pill on it. Good clean Maximas like that are going fast. So I have come to learn that for something in the 50,000-60,000 mile range you can be anywhere from $9,000-$10,000 after negotiating off list for a loaded 6spd that is clean.

I thought that too, but the used car market is kind of crazy now. Mostly it's easily under $10k, but if you want a loaded up SE that's clean and has about 55,000 miles, they tend to list right at that $10,000 mark and that to me seems reasonable. A very low mileage car with tons more to go and $10k or less with many nice options. There's not many of them so people seem to buy them up fast when they list. These people listing at that price point with 90k, 100k, 120k are absolutely nuts! Even worse is someone who would pay that price for that many miles. Those cars don't sell that fast though.
Just out of curioustiy, what would people on here think is a fair price for a car like this? I was thinking if I run across a car like this that is clean and lower mileage in the color I would like, perhaps offering $8500-$9000? And a vehicle with 10,000 miles less maybe about $500 more. Does that seem about right? About 3 weeks ago I wanted to fly to D.C. to get a 2003 Merlot Pearl Maxima with 57k on it...blk lthr, htd seats/sterring wheel, BOSE, all options including NAVI, but they wouldn't budge off their price of $9,999. They told me the price is the lowest they can go. They had just gotten it, so I thought I'll wait a few days through the weekend, and call back Monday. In 3 days, it was gone. They told me they had several calls on it, and that something low mileage and mint like that for $10k are easy to sell because everyone is looking for a good $10k car.
Just from watching these things go, 2003's seem to be selling quickly off the dealer lots in that price range and mileage range. I also got a text from my cousin's Nissan used car manager in Skokie, IL showing the auction wholesale prices these are going for when they come across, and they are getting $7,000-$8,000+ wholesale! Then when I see all the listings on autotrader or cars.com they all seem to list at range or just a tad lower with really low miles.
I initially set out thinking for $8,000 I could get what I wanted, but I am rethinking that it's not possible unless I settle for something in the 90k plus mileage range and am kicking myself for playing around and not flying out and just getting the car in D.C. It was exactly what I had wanted. Hoping to find something close like that again.

funny you say that... one of the ctmaxima guys is sellin his merlot 6 speed here in ct with some minor mods and rims....
Who in their right mind thinks I'm going to pay 4 grand for a 17 year old car with 180k miles? I don't care what the condition is or options are (modded is different or major replacements).
When the prices drop to good levels then they're bought fast. I almost had a clean black on black 4th gen 5 spd almost fully loaded (missing heated mirrors if they had it) for 1,700. He was asking 24-2500 before and it had been up a long time. It just needed a clutch. I waited too long deciding (took a shower) and by the time I called back it was gone
