FS: 1997 Nissan Maxima SE 5-speed **SOCAL**
Hey guys,
After 8 years of ownership, the time has come to let the Max go. The wife and I just bought a house and are in the market for a 3rd gen CRV.
It is a 1997 Deep Evergreen Metallic SE 5 speed. Took me months before I could track this one down at a dealership 2 hours away since I was really looking for a manual tranny. It's got every available option that was offered for that year including heated leather seats (comes in handy during those "cold" southern california winters lol)
Mechanically, the car runs great. Original engine and transmission. The clutch was replaced right under 130k. Alternator, A/C compressor and starter were all replaced around 110-130k as well. Except the clutch, most of the work was performed on the car by me and sometimes with some help from my friend who works as a master tech at a dealer nearby.
Cosmetically, car is also very good. Aside from expected road chips and such on the front, the paint is in good condition. The tan leather interior is also in good shape with no tears or rips.
Here's a link to my posting on craigslist for additional info: http://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/2976503808.html
This car would make a great daily driver or a base for mods. Shoot me an offer by PM or preferably by email at: egxflash@gmail.com'
Price has been reduced to $4000 obo before she goes up at the Newbury Park Auto Fair this weekend. If you're local, you can come by and give the car a once over at the site.
Thanks for the interest guys.

Thanks! Yeah she takes pictures real well. Like I said theres some expected blemishes from road debris and such but overall shes very clean.
It's almost disappointing that the general market hasn't been very favorable with the car. I'm in no rush to sell but looks like I really have to wait for someone who isn't averse to a manual transmission. Too many commuters nowadays...not enough drivers!
