SC 2000 Maxima SE Rear Cosmetic & Frame Damage $2400
2000 Maxima SE Rear Cosmetic & Frame Damage $2400
I'd had my 2000 Maxima SE for almost a year when I got rear-ended by a large Dodge truck a couple of weeks ago. Finally heard back from the insurance and I found out it's totaled because there's frame damage back at the trunk. The back bumper and trunk lid are dented up pretty well but the trunk still opens, and there are some scratches on the back right panel next to the trunk. The accident didn't change the way it runs at all.
In the past year I've replaced all the coils, all the belts, the power steering pump and a line, rear brakes & rotors, and shocks. I've also got everything I need to do the front brakes and rotors, but they still have some life in them. In addition, I also have grounding wires, but I couldn't figure out where to put them.
It has a couple of problems, but nothing too serious. There's a connection issue with the dash cluster, so my gauges only work about a quarter of the time. I've noticed a couple of somewhat hard shifts lately, but nothing serious.
It has power windows, sunroof, and locks, and a standard Bose sound system (the CD player is picky - it likes to make brand new CDs skip).
It has somewhere around 235-238K miles on it (the odometer is out with the gauges) and gets about 26mpg. I love this car, but it's time to look for another one. I'm asking $2400 for it. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions or for pictures.

I don't have the time! I should mention that the cluster should be a relatively easy fix at a shop, but it's not a DIY job. Honestly, the car runs great. The only real issues are the mileage and the rear damage. I'm not set on $2400, either.
With that mileage and damage along with a salvage title you will never ever get even close to $2400, put a realistic price up and you might get interested, $2400 buys a decent running car without cosmetic flaws
Proper price for a car of this nature is $1000 or less and best for parts with such extent of damage
I know this cuz I buy and sell and part out cars all the time
