FREE - 1998 I30 (auto) with Mods

Hello orgers. Been a long since I've been here but I have an offer I think may interest 4th gens.

I am offering my car to a fellow Maxima.org member for FREE, as in I make $0 in this transaction. The catch is the car is currently impounded… Put the two together and you know where I’m getting at. Apparently city of Phila has the right to impound your car if your registration is expired and it has a flat tire or damage b/c this poses a “danger” (be damn if they can actually explain to me how it can be a danger to anyone)! I didn't realize this until today, it’s been almost 3 weeks.

Here’s the catch. I don’t want to hold this for anyone and I want a local member, ideally in the city, to make this quick and easy. I’ve moved on to new cars and don’t have time to work on this. I listed this locally for quick sale last year for $1400 and got a lot of buyers but decided to fix it as a winter beater/fun car. Well things happen and it got neglected – my bad.

If you are a local member and meet ALL of the following, send me a PM. Note, there are a few misc things that I want out of the car (radio, visor, and battery) but will also throw in a few things in my garage (two complete doors to fix the dented doors, gaskets to fix the CEL, some stock stuff). If no one’s interested, I’ll just let the tow company keep it. I hope this will pay it forward and that you'll someday pay it forward.
1) I s local to Phila, ideally with a 215 or 610 number.
2) Has over 100 posts. Newbies need not apply.
3) Is available on Monday (10/15/12, can work out time) to get this done
4) Pay for the new 2013 PA registration fee (we meet up at local DMV) b/c you need this to get the car out
5) Pay for impound fee (guestimate <$700)
6) Bring a spare license plate to drive away
7) Bring a spare battery
8) Bring a new tank of gas b/c old gas has been stagnant for a few months.

To the good stuff. Below is listing I made about a year back when I was trying to selling the car. Note, these pics are about a year old. Listed at $1400 and got a BUNCH of buyers but changed my mind. Hindsight, guess I should have just sold it…

1998 pearl white Infiniti I30, auto. 2nd owner since 30K and now at 148K. Mechanically the car solid but it does need some minor TLC. It is also has some mods and drives nicely. Leather interior is in very good shape. Currently it has a leak in the exhaust at resonator inlet -- Easy patch weld job. The hood does not stay latched down b/c the latch is not strongly secured. There are some dents on the rear doors from idiots running into me. I will INCLUDE two rear doors that are in VERY good shape and includes glass and power window motor for FREE!

Looking to sell for $1400 OBO, or trade for an equally reliable 4 cylinder auto or manual car. You can easily part off the aftermarket parts to Maxima owners and scrap the car for few hundred bucks to be on top.

Car is located in South Philly. Local deals only. No shipping anywhere. If you see the car, you'll want it. I just need to move on to something new.

The Good:
Motor is strong, idles perfectly
Transmission shifts strong, tranny flush and drop pan to clean out with Amsoil ATF at 80K
35% tint all around
Vogtland springs (~1.5" drop)
KYB AGX shocks (adjustable front and rear)
Generic STB
Generic pedal covers
Warpspeed Y pipe (dyno proven gains)
Warpspeed B pipe (dyno proven gains)
New Walker O2 sensors all around when doing pipes
Magna Flow high flow Cat
Motorstorm UDP with Gator belts
Cefiro chrome gauge rings
Cefiro one piece headlights
Front stainless steel brake lines, include new rear lines that I have not installed.
PA Inspection till 08/12 - expired.
Title in hand
Relatively new rotors, few thousand miles.
New hood struts
Aftermarket floor mats on top of OE mats (OE mats are in very good share)
All electronics and components work (except items listed)
Have original manual and some documentation

Mods, please lock.

Car is gone to the impound. Bastards took my radio
Seeing the car to pick up personal items, it's a shame bc the car was in good condition overall. I'm sure a 4gen owner can fix it up nicely or swap out the parts and junk afterwards. Still have doubt I should have fixed it but I have two cars now and just don't have time like I use too. Last goodbye to fellow Maxima orgers. Peace.
