Question regarding the possible sale of a '99 SE with pretty low mileage
All -
I'm considering selling off my '99 SE, but the online sources seem to say the going price is pretty low.
The details on mine are as follows:
Exterior: Sterling Mist
Interior: Cloth
Transmission: 5-spd
Mileage: 45,000
Options: Standard stuff for an SE and whatever came with the moonroof option. OEM carpets for floor/trunk.
Condition: Scratches on front/rear bumper. Otherwise, it looks like a 45K car that has been garaged since day 1. It's a second car and, while it's in Ohio, I can count on one hand the times it has been driven in the snow.
It hardly every sees rain, either.
Interior: No animals, kids, food, drink or smoke. Not a mark.
Aftermarket: Front STB and that fog-light modification where they say on with parking lights, otherwise, absolutely stock.
I'm in Central Ohio and am the original owner.
Again, I'm not sure if I want to sell. I've been checking our a few WRXes and Forester XTs and thought I'd use this to help fund it, but KBB showed a private party sale of $4,400. No way in hell would I sell for that.
Is that pretty much all I should expect?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Your car is very mint, so $4400 is not likely what you'll get for it. Especially because its not modified and its a 5 speed, which will give somebody the opportunity to buy it and mod it themselves, or just keep it as a very mint car.
Pics would be appreciated as well.

I think 6000 is going to be the top-end of what you can get for it, honestly. If that's not enough, it would make sense fiscally to just keep it as it will give you many more years of reliability and 10 years from now you'll still probably be able to get 2500-3000 for it.

Try Edmunds.com, or cargurus.com and put your info in. I think 4500 might be the best you would get. Miles are important, but age degrades rubber (bushings, seals, e.t.c) regardless. Just my two, I say ask for what you want.
