NY FS: 99 Maxima SE 5-Speed (Black/Tan) Corning, NY
FS: 99 Maxima SE 5-Speed (Black/Tan) Corning, NY
For Sale. Asking $1500 OBO, books for over 2k.
I am getting a truck so i can tow the new camper. Decided last fall to sell her this spring. she has 180,000+ but still runs great. I drive her 80 miles every day and have owned her for 10 years 120k miles appx. I will miss her!
She is black, fully loaded with heated tan leather seats, moon rook, and an aftermarked CD Player. Has new struts and tires less than 10k ago, good brakes, 2 new O2 sensors, and all the intake and exhaust gaskets were replaced last fall due to a vacuum leak. Have done other stuff recently as well, but cant remember it all at the moment.
I had to re-build the transmission due to a broken gear at appx 100k and installed a 2009 Maxima clutch while in there. She still shifts like a dream and never slips.
I drive her every day appx 80 miles. She drives very well. Accelerates quickly and has lots of pep even at highway speeds.
She has some cosmetic damage that i decided a few years ago was not worth investing $ into. The trunk has a big dent from a drive by pumpkining, but it still operates and seals just fine. The paint is fading on the passenger side and rear bumper. The front bumper has some damage as well, but has held together just fine for years.
Feel free to ask me any questions. Also opened to offers that are reasonable. Really don't want to see the dealership scrap her. would love to see someone take her and enjoy her for a few more years!
God! this is like selling a kid...

The car is still for sale, sorry for being MIA. My fiance lost her job, and her car had the tranny go in the same week in late March. I am dealing with moving for her new job and we just replaced her car. Replacing my car took a back seat for a few weeks. We will be moving into the Bradford County PA area the end of May, and will likely replace my car in June now. I will keep looking back here and we can work something out if you guys are still interested. I just got an oil change last week and my mechanic is telling me the rear tires need to be aligned as the rear tires are wearing abnormal, so you should figure that into your costs too.
Hit a curb in 2006 and have had rear alignment issues since. I had it checked then, and it was just out on the drivers side. Which basically meant my tires wore down on the inside premature. Was never much of a problem, maybe 10k less than expected as long as I rotated the tires regularly. I didn't notice any drivability issues till the end of the tire life they get a bit choppy, and you can feel it. A few months back I had all the struts replaced, and the life of these tires is much less. Guessing the better response is really taking its toll on the back tires, but I am not a mechanic, so you might know better than me. My mechanic is telling me I need a rear alignment.
Find a firestone dealer and get it done. Its about 140 life time alignment if I remember. Tires replacement will outcost just getting it fixed. And it could be something bent.. gl with the sale.
