Greg,

Any luck selling your max? Autotrader seems to only have dealers on it, I was wondering if that was worth it.

Thanks - 1st car I bought with my own $ so I took real good care of her.

Updated the thread in the SE forum with a pic of spare parts I'm getting rid of.

Parts I ordered from Dave B that I never got around to installing:
OEM Rear Brake Pads - new in box, fits '02-'03, should fit '00-'01 but double check
OEM Fuel Filter - new in box, same as above

Extra part:
OEM Air Filter holder - GAB style

and WTF is up with the new spam bot buster? I can't make out half the f'ing letters...

im going to take it to carmax tonight to see what they'll give

i had someone offer me $5000 over the phone, but in lieu of the new tires, alignment, battery, rack & pinion, radiator - i wanted a bit more!

since then all i get is scam spam from cars.com

did your guy find you on autotrader? i sold my 95 max on autotrader back in 2004 back when craigslist was a little less prevalant

mumbo jumbo

got all my calls from autotrader - pricing has gone up since I last sold a car but it's worth it IMO. I paid to market the car and everything in the pictures you see is intentional - two car garage, nice neighborhood, etc. Small details like that make the buyer think "this guy may have enough money to take care of his car". It's priced below market and what I can get for it, but with two small kids running around I just don't have the time to deal with it so I priced it to move.

So far, only one scam call that was an auto buying service who "had clients looking for my make and model..."

how much did you get for it? i dropped mine to 6k in consideration of new tires and the recent rack, otherwise i would have listed for 5k.

Well... Seems like 1st dude I shook hands with maybe backing out. May have scared him off by saying cash or cert check and we could meet at my bank to sign over the title...

2nd dude should be calling me back today... He's coming from SC so who knows.

Asked 5750, took 5600.

that sucks. what you're asking for is standard process

i would be careful about certified checks though, i read that those will clear in the bank, but when they find out its counterfeit they will hold you responsible

also they are not supposed to leave with your tags, just the title and bill of sale
