I just bought the car recently but i have to move out, forcing me to sell it and not have time to fix the problem. My DD is also for sale which is posted on a different thread (2001 nissan maxima se)
Car needs TLC on the transmission department. It will shift and drive smoothly on 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th. The gear will shift into 2nd, 4th, and reverse but all you'll encounter is grinding/chattering and it won't move, hence car doesn't move backwards. You can still drive it though on the other gears
engine is healthy. it will move when you punch it on the "working gears." Car has H-LSD, I have the original sticker window to confirm
Car has clean carfax (I can send over), one owner. I haven't registered it under my name so you will be second owner. Clear title. Car is from Ohio but was brought to Chicago, IL. Some rust on rear panel of the passenger side and a small rust on the roof driver side corner. Everything else seems clean.
NO check engine light; i would keep it and fix it up but because of life changes, I have to move and I can't take the car with me. Car can be test driven if you wish.

at the tranny shop for evalutation...
Currently at the transmission shop (did my research on the shop; they've been in business for 30 years and they build it in house --- just for reference in case anyone is interested on the car)
- if no one takes it, i'll have no choice but to fix it.
- Still for sale fixed or not, just the matter of timing.
- 2,900 now if you want it "as-is" by tomorrow or latest sat, whole new different story depending on what the shop says.
