FS 1993 Maxima VE 5-Speed. $1250.00 Houston TX
1993 Maxima VE30DE, 5-speed, ABS, tan tweed seats, black exterior.
I bought this car in January 2010 from a fellow 3rd gen enthusiast, who in turn had bought it from a third genner who had done all the work and upgrades that are listed below. The car now has 239K on the odo. In my tenure, it received Royal Purple 10W-30 oil changes every 5000 miles with K&N or Royal Purple oil filters.
The car does need a few things tended to.
1. The clutch hydraulic line will let the clutch slowly engage when depressed for an extended time. This could be air in the line somewhere, or the master or slave cylinder not sealing 100 %. On normal clutch engagements it works fine, but on extended hold times, it acts up.
2. There are a few scratches on the passenger side from an unplanned engagement with the side of my garage door frame.
3. On the roof the paint has a few blisters have formed where the second paint job is failing. The factory black paint shows through.
4. The sunroof shade has come off the tracks and is interfering with the operation of the sunroof.
5. The radio is hooked up wrong, and I did not ever get around to fix it. The radio does not get all the amps it needs because it draws power from an inadequate supply point (probably the 12v point in the Bose harness). The better point to have used is the Bose amps power relay in the driver side kick panel
Replaced and upgraded parts on this car:
Performance
1. Stillen aluminum flywheel
2. Exedy Stage 1 clutch
3. UDP
4. CAI
5. WSP Y pipe
6. 2.5” high flow Magnaflow cat.
7. 2.5” resonator
8. 2.5” cat back exhaust with
9. Dynomax super turbo muffler (replaced by quiter, regular muffler. Dynomax is included as a part, and can be re-mounted.
10. Blehmco ground wire set
Transmission
1. Factory STS (moved the ball for a perfect and smooth throw)
Suspension
If you have an interest in this car, or have any questions, message me on the board, and provide a means for more efficient communication. I will make arrangements for you to view and drive the car. Thank you.
With best regards,
John
