Hey members please help, I have this motor just sitting & I really want to find an I30 years 96-99. Auto or 5spd. Body in very good condition. Where else should I look besides here and craigslist

 

I myself have a running max but want a 5 speed so I'm in the same boat. Check these sites, if you find one in excellent condition I don't personally think it matters about engine/tranny condition cause they're cheaper the higher the miles so if you can pick up a super clean one with 150k+ miles for $2500 or less it's still worth the rebuild, IMO. Besides these engines are strong, durable, and excellent all around. 150k is the break in period for the VQ30. Anyways check these sites for local and/or national max's.

Might look into nicoclub and other forums as well. I know a ton of people sell shells with suspension and support mods on other forums, especially 240s.

Close this, picked up a 98 Max with a bad head gasket. It needs the radiator support and left quarter panel replaced... There aren't many parts around anymore! Smh! I'm looking to supercharge it, ecu upgrade, etc. I've always wondered how a stroked 3.0 will run, but it might cost too much, has anyone done it? How much will it cost etc? Maybe when I pull the blown motor I might consider if it's within my budget

 

Just do a 4.7 swap build it turbo or supercharge it ull b good
