***97 maxima gle for sale in need of repair****
Name: Steve
Location: Connecticut
Car Location: Fairfield, CT
Mileage: 264,000
Transmission: Automatic
Asking price: $1,200 OBO
Afternoon,
My name is Steve. I'm not new to maxima.org and has been helpful throughout the years of my ownership of many Maxima's. However, I decided to list my Maxima on Craigslist and now posting it on your great site for all to see. I know there is a small niche market for fans out there that can use, rebuilt repair my now broken down Maxima. In short, I have owned 4 Maximas in my life. All 4th generation, for over 10 years. I do most of my work on the cars, aside from exhaust and anything that needs special instruments that I can't store in my condo. I'd rather do my own work because it's done right and not in a hurry too.
SO, I will leave you with the posting to my ad with photos and all. The car just blew the head gasket and the oil is mixing with the coolant. Engine still starts and moves and hasn't over heated so it's still repairable. ((If anyone asks the small white thing on the dash is 3M tape holding together a small crack. I put it on before it got bigger. To cover it I matched up the stock wood to a piece off the dash of a 2001 Lincoln LS. It can fit over and look stock with some modifications of it by a roto zip, double back tape and some caulk matching the dash. Never got around to it yet but I will give you the piece.))Furthermore, I want to include with the sale price everything else I have over the years. Extra interior, mats, switches, lights, lenses, thermostat, coil packs, rims, and so on. New or recent parts are on the car are coil packs (2), spark plugs, radiator, belts and pulley, alternator, fuel filter, door panels, tints, newer 01 rims, brakes (pads and rotors and fluid), starter, front and rear valve cover gaskets. The car ran like a champ, used High Mileage 5W-30 oil since owned and used sea foam and marvel mystery oil. I have pictures from when I replaced the valve cover gaskets to so you can see how clean it was at 230K-263K (changed gaskets at different times because of job length and weather). Most recent work as the rear valve cover gasket at 263K. I cleaned the IACV, throttle, intake manifold and ERG valve along with installing new plugs and a coil pack. I guess she couldn't handle the extra power due to cleaning, the head gasket went shortly after less than 500 miles. Price is open but the value for all that I have would be around $1,200.
