2001 SE Anniversary Edition Pearl White - Auto - 96k Miles - $3000 - Austin TX
This is a very special 20th anniversary edition of the Nissan Maxima with low mileage for its age. This car was only made for 1 year and has extra horsepower and a limited-slip differential. Here's more info: https://usa.nissannews.com/en-US/rel...ma-press-kit-3
It's been in our family since it was new - my wife's mom bought it from the dealership and I own the clean blue Texas title. It has been well-cared for, and was our daily driver until 2016 when we got a new vehicle. It's been driven every few months since then to keep everything fresh and runs great with cold A/C and low miles. The front tires were replaced 2015, as was the battery.
It has a ton of high-end features, including heated leather seats, a Bose premium sound system with subwoofer, a moon roof, power driver and passenger seats, fog lights, and more!
I keep up with our cars and have done the following repairs (with new parts) since I have had possession of the car:
All 4 corner brake pads
Windshield
Radiator
front and rear sport tires
Full suspension refresh - all 4 shocks
Alternator
Battery
Passenger Side stub axle
ECU Rebuild (this is a common issue for the VQ30 engine which causes idling issues, replacement part fixed it)
Bose sound system rebuild (common issue with these head units causing the LCD and volume controls to mess up)
Along with typical maintenance such as oil changes and wipers.
This car has been great and was our daily driver for several years. We kept it around as an extra vehicle, but we are about to move across the country and can't bring it with us.
It's in good shape for its age and has been washed/waxed and well cared for overall, but I have noticed some clear coat wear on the roof.
There is a bit of body damage on the driver's side (you can see it in the photos if you look closely, the rear fender and rear door have mild dents/rippling and a bit of missing paint). Both of the front seats have wear, but the driver's is significant and would eventually need replacement foam or swapping to another seat.
The transmission shifts rough when you first start driving it, but it evens out and you get used to driving around it. I believe the fix for this is a transmission shift solenoid, but you'd have to have a mechanic research further, I never bothered with it since it behaves predictably.
There's a check engine light for a seat belt tensioner, I haven't bothered to replace it since the CEL showed up after I stopped driving the car daily.
This is a low mileage, special car, that I'd love someone to take over for me who is passionate about these cars and can keep it going. Any reasonable offer will be considered! Please reach out if you are interested.
Good looking car in Pearl White with sport wheels minor fender damage and some clear coat issues over the gas tank but it cleans up fine Passenger side, good condition, minor rust on C pillar upright Mooon Roof, automatic rear view mirror works great, garage door opener No headliner or tinting issues, rear defroster works Engine bay photo, I have valve cover just not installed at the time Mileage and lights all show working Steering wheel is a bit worn but all steering wheel switches work Passenger seat showing wear Dash is in good condition overall, don't have the original floor mats though No issues w/ door panels or switches at all Driver's side seat showing wear Back seat has a minor tear on one seat, other than that they're fine
I'm guessing you were making a joke to call out the condition of the interior, and not implying that the mileage is incorrect (the mileage is correct and the odometer is functioning properly). If so, that's a fair point and I'm not attempting to hide anything about the car's condition. It's a 20 year old car that's been in the Texas heat its whole life, so leather dries up and cracks and paint fades.
It's still a cool Maxima and low mileage as far as mechanical wear. It's an extra car for us, and the price is negotiable - so if someone sees it and is interested, let's talk!
Sadly, your asking price is nowhere near the condition of this car IMO. And stating it's been "well cared for" is a bit of a stretch. When you try and tell people that you've kept it up mechanically, all they are going to hear is blah blah blah as they stare at the interior of this poor Max.
Look how disgusting that driver's door panel is, the center console etc. The least you can do is spend 1 to 2 hours cleaning the car, vacuuming and shampooing the carpets prior to taking pictures and posting. Presentation is everything. Pictures do more talking than words. At a minimum, I suggest you invest some money in seat covers and a steering wheel cover.

Plus, now the transmission is having issues? That's not keeping it up mechanically. Looks like you are waiting for the issue to become serious or the transmission to fail before you would take action. At least you're honest about it though, so kudos for that.
A CEL for seat belt tensioner? Good luck getting this to pass inspection
Look at that steering wheel! Do you get hungry and chew on the steering wheel when stuck in traffic? The seats and the steering wheel in my 250k 1998 Maxima that has been outside its whole life in Southern California's hot weather look brand new compared to this.
EDIT: Thread closed per OP.
