Made it here yesterday

I got here yesterday at about 4:15 cst. I drove 1004.9 miles and it took me exactly 14 hours including two fuel stops. The hotel here does not have internet access so I spent an hour this morning 'war driving' trying to find open access. I finally found an open share on the opposite site of the hotel on the second floor, , which is now where my room is. So if any of you have notebook PCs with wireless make sure you ask for for a room on the second floor on the front, not the pool side.

I somehow averaged 25.5-26mpg doing 75-90 the whole way. 1005 miles / 14 hours = 71.8 mph which includes two fuel stops. And I ran into Atlanta rush hour, Birmingham rushhour, various one lane road destructions, etc..

Welcome to Dallas man!...Are you planning on going to Speedzone tomorrow night? I am heading out there after picking my son up from home which is really close to the hotel. Should be leaving at around 6pm.

Oh yeah guys, it's probably best that we don't tell the front desk about our free Inet.

Oh and I averaged about 28~30 MPG most of the way here.

These two open access points are sporadic at best. If any of you have high gain antennas to use you should bring them.

That's why I was a little surprised to see someone is already here in Dallas.

Everyone that was going to the track day is staying in College Station tonight. (from what I have seen anyway...)

Are you the only one in Dallas right now?
