Track Headcount

I need to know of how many people that are willing to run their cars at the track event at the Autobahn on June 26th. A non-refundable deposit is needed of $50. You will be able to get refund if a emergency occurs with a very good reason behind it. As soon as I set up a paypal account to receive payments for the track event I will let you guys know when and where to send the money. Once payment is received you will get a email stating that you have paid the deposit. I highly recomend that you print the email in case any bookeeping problems occur when it is time to pay the rest of the fee on the day of the event. The rest of the fee will depend on how many people sign up for the track event. The rest of the fee that is due on the day of the event will vary from $0 to $100 depending on how many people we get on this. We need to come up with $1250 for the North course or $1500 for the South course by early May to guarantee a spot at the Autobahn. Insurance is going to cost us $2000 for the entire day.

So all together for the fee to rent the North course is:
$5000 + $2000 = $7000
South Course
$6000 + $2000 = $8000

I am just showing you guys where all the money is going to. So get your friends on this as well and this should be a fun day at the autobahn.

Here is what I have so far. 04/08

I wish I could come this year. Summer classes FTMFL...Good luck with getting enough people to go and I know it'll be an awesome event for everyone.

I suggest collecting money via snail mail instead of Paypal. the Paypal fees on this stuff will eat you up.

Damn it's tempting, but I don't have the money for track wheels or Maxus this year.

Also I heard Autobahn can be strick on what they allow. IIRC battery relocation into the trunk and it has to be a in a battery box that's vented, stuff like that. Would be a good idea to let people know before hand so they can run there.

Question, what happens if you don't get enough people? Is the road racing just cancelled and everything else stays the same?

Unfortunantly yes, probably cut the schedule a day short, so instead of having Wenesday when people leave it will be Tuesday.

Check with the local autocross forums too. there's always a few guys that do DEs and auto X, and they might be able to point you do a more DE-specific site as well.

What are you guys thoughts on Chicago Indoor Racing since so far there is very little interest in the Roadcourse part of Maxus, unless you guys are willing to shell out $300 to $600 for one day racing.
Here is the link to Chicago Indoor Racing.
