Truely a car for all seasons Josh's car is slick, classy, refined as well as athletic. (I've seen him auto-X twice now) Looks great in person and he takes pride in its performance and appearance.

Keep it up homey.

Nice collection of pics...you're making me want a 5th gen now! I really like all the winter pics cause of course it seems so familiar to me...that's what its gonna look like here in 2-3 months! You've got a super nice Maxima and it looks like you get a lot of use out of it! Nokian tires are awesome in the snow, I have them on my car.

#6 is pretty rad. What kind of bike do you have? I just got into riding a little while ago and picked up a Specialized Hardrock Sport. It's been fun so far.

The bike...built it up myself a few years back. The frame is a modified aluminum frame from Gene Spicer (www.spicercycles.com)...weighs in a tad over 3lbs (his new AL frames are about 3.8lbs, mine is an "old model"). Spicer makes great aluminum and titanium frames for a good price. The rest of the bike is a mix of different parts/systems I picket up over the several months I was putting it together (while still riding my old Diamond Back trials bike)...Shimano XT Mega-9 components for the most part, Ringle' Zero Deuce seat post, Brontrager crowbar, Icon stem, Sun 0-degree XC rims, Ringle and Shimano hubs, various tires, and Manitou SXR fork (with some internal modifications) with lockout. Overall, it's a nice XC setup though I really don't ride as much as I used to, unfortunately.

One note: building your own bike costs alot more than buying a comparable one pre-made...but what fun would that be

Spicer makes some great frames for all kinds of riding, including (my favorite) the 2-wheel-drive bike he made for a team doing the Iditabike Alaskan bike race:

Um, is that english? I still have a lot to learn about bikes. I've been sidelined with a few injuries lately so I've haven't been able to ride as much as I would like to. You're bike's pretty sick though.

heh...building a bike is like modding a car....do some research, and do it your self, and learn as you go along

there's no need for disc brakes for XC/singletrack riding, it's just extra weight/rotational mass....XC riders with discs are just posers trying to show off IMO. Disc brakes are best for trials and DH riding (neither of which I do on this bike). I had discs on my trials setup, but don't want them on my XC frame...

Disc brakes are just for looks for 90% of riders. Only the most aggro DH and TR riders really need them...kind of like the guys who get cross-drilled slotted rotors for their maximas, even though they never race them....
