The owner is an older guy. He said he bought it in 1990 and a few months after buying it bought the kit for 1200 with paint. He said the guy messed up the paint on the kit so he got him to repaint the whole car. He said the paint job is a $1500 paint job. Believe it or not the paint is 15 years old. He keeps it in his Garage and very seldom he'll bring it out for some sunshine. This is one hellofa 2nd gen.

Maxtank 09-25-2005 09:25 AM

That looks really nice!

max95q 09-25-2005 10:05 AM

I didnt notice how shiny the paint was until blacking out the license plate on the rear. There was a reflection of it on the rear bumper too. Its a 5-speed SE. I asked him about the interior and it looks flawless but he said he had to clean it out. To me it wasnt messy. I didnt think to get a pic under the hood. The next time I see it outside Im going to ask him if I can get a picture of the engine as well.

Fast1one 09-25-2005 12:00 PM

Man that looks hot...all it needs is a little drop :D

Niku-Sama 09-25-2005 01:26 PM

maximase86 09-25-2005 01:28 PM

very clean and very nice. looks like the exterior has been really well maintained.

Northern Maxima 09-25-2005 01:53 PM

Wow, that's immaculate! max88q, your rims would look much better on there than the ones he's got. Awesome car though.

Big_E-Dog 09-25-2005 02:10 PM

lookin hottt!! liking that front air dam.

enomik-1 09-25-2005 08:42 PM

LOoks good.. Nicest paint job Ive seen on a second gen yet.. Props to your neighbor.

SEmy2K2go 09-25-2005 09:00 PM

Looks sweet. Haven't seen those old school ARE 5 spoke style wheels in years.

Nismotic 09-25-2005 09:17 PM

that does look very nice!

cardana24 09-26-2005 06:11 AM

tripleGmax 09-26-2005 09:21 AM

thats pretty sweet!

2 Da Max 09-26-2005 07:32 PM

dam the paint job on that car is beautiful... 15 years? wow im about to let whoever painted his car paint mine!!

btw when i was a little kid, i always dreamed of having those rims on any car i had when i got older..

MyBlue92Maxima 09-26-2005 08:49 PM

now ask him how much hes selling it for and buy it..

max95q 09-26-2005 09:26 PM

I tried that already. He said he figured if he put a steep price on it then noone will want it. Believe me I asked him. From the way things sounded he doesnt plan on getting rid of it any time soon. He knows what he has, and he plans on keepin' it. But if that day comes Ill be right there.

SuperChris 09-26-2005 10:08 PM

gold nameplates on the door panels would complete the look...:wall:

tranz 09-30-2005 04:46 PM

haha you can tell he tried to 1990fy it with the 5 Star wheels and body kit.

RandyZ 09-30-2005 06:29 PM

Looks good for the age

max95q 09-30-2005 10:32 PM

I saw it today driving, I was surprised he took it out. Everytime I see it, it makes me want to kit my car with that same kit and completely repaint my car.

MrGone 10-01-2005 04:45 PM

someone stole Sarin's color :D

TransAmBandit 07-20-2011 12:08 AM

I feel like this is worthy of a bump. Maybe theres another old school loser like myself looking for photos of these cars.

I really want a Kaminari kit. =/

max95q 07-20-2011 03:06 AM

They are very rare to find working. Wish I would've kept my 88.

phatboislim 07-20-2011 04:09 AM

with the old school wheels...i like that right there, alot!

95Maxed 07-20-2011 07:11 AM

For once, Im glad a new guy bumped a 6 year old thread. I got to see a crazy nice 2nd gen. So did the guy ever end up selling it?

UGAd13 07-20-2011 09:44 AM

I was about to say... "who the hell uses 56k anymore?"

max95q 07-20-2011 07:39 PM

He still has it to this day. He always parks it in the garage facing out.

6.5affiliate 07-20-2011 08:26 PM

Gotta agree with 95maxed. This is one nice and clean 2nd gen.

chrome91 07-20-2011 09:48 PM

:drool1: looks so good, just needs to lower it a bit and it would be perfect

cb37 07-21-2011 01:03 PM

Clean 2nd gen.

OneFastStanza 07-21-2011 07:29 PM

That is in great shape but it is giving me some flashbacks of when I was a bit younger. Those wheels were hot when I was in high school :hide:
It is really good to see it well taken care of. I may not care for a lot of its styling cues these days but it is a reminder of what was cool back then. It is really awesome that someone has taken care of it so meticulously so you gotta have respect for that in itself. Props to the owner

tbaGd_jEw 07-21-2011 08:16 PM

I've been looking for those OG rims for quite some time now...Man I want those bad Larry's...

Wow, have you ever pushed him to sell or made an offer?

Requin6 07-21-2011 09:43 PM

Nice ride! What's funny is that a guy down the street from me had this same setup on his 2nd gen! Same kit and wheels just a different color. He doesn't have it anymore, I wonder whatever happened to it.

I tried a while back but he was honest and said whatever I offered him he would just come up with a ridiculous price over mine. I think that car will be staying in the family for many years to come. Its a 5 speed too.

TransAmBandit 07-23-2011 10:21 AM

Im glad to hear he still has it. Im dying to find a 5 speed car or even a Kaminari kit for my car. I love old school!
