Why put money into rims (ones that don't even look that great IMO) when the car itself doesn't look so good and you're selling it anyways?

All you need is a paint job and tints. Nice car though.

I put up half the purchase price for mine, and am paying back a loan from my parents with 6% interest.

Nice 2nd gen though, IMO you shouldve saved up more money to buy silver or gunmetal as UNCDooD said

Good luck with your project though =)

Actually I got my '95 Maxima the day after I got my license and I'm paying for every cent of it...call it a "project," call it whatever you want...

I don't hate it because it's a 2nd gen, I hate it because you spent money on rims rather than making the thing not look like a piece of crap.

i would have gotten a new paint job and screwed the rims... i would have bet money on it that if it had a nice paintjob and stock rims.. that it would be sold already!

edit... i would lower it some too

Did it have non bent rims before? My first car was a RX-7, also bought it when was I was 16, on of my rims was bent. Those rims would have looked incredible on my white 82 RX.
Look, at your age, you might as well spend money on a car, save some for college and the rest buy beer. Because at that age, to pick up chicks, all you need is a car and beer. Because unless you're trying to find and marry your high school sweetheart, forget it, the girls you want are the ones that drink.

Just ignore them. When I was in highschool I didn't know of any students who purchased and owned their own car. I wouldn't have been able to afford any type of vehicle when I was 16. I think many of the people on here come from reasonably weathly homes or areas with good economies/jobs and don't realize the rest of us just can't come up with thousands of dollars to buy a car and mod it.

Everyone in here needs to stop hating! He was just posting pics of his first car that (HE) bought. You know, it's alot better than having no car. So instead of bagging on his car, be nice about it & say something positive about it. It's a real simple concept. I bet if all you guys that are flaming on him, had that for your first car and still had it with not much money, you wouldn't be such a$$'s about it. So just be nice, & let him show us his car. BTW "low&slow88" Nice 2nd Gen, keep up the modding & make it a sweet Maxima!
