Boredom nightshots. New drop, tires, and spacers (9 Pictures; 1.61Mb)

I just recently dropped the front with Progress springs. I replaced the front Yokohamas with some 245/40/17 BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KD tires. They are extremely sticky. I also added some 8mm spacers for the front and 11mm spacers for the rear. The wheels are now 17x8 with a +30 offset and 17x9 with a +27 offset (235/45/17 Advan tires) in the rear.

Here is the result:

yea those wheels are great but the 5th gen gives the illusion like they are 15-16's due to the spoke design. You have to SLAM the car to get the right effect. Nice wheels though if you like it thats all that matters.

It does not rub. It sits perfectly now. They are eBay wheel spacers and I didn't use longer wheel studs with the 11mm rear spacers .

The deep dish and in conjunction with the wheel spacers and drop make it look great. Are you also going to drop the rear?

It's dropped with Maxspeeds in the rear. It looks almost the same as the front with my system in the trunk.

Very nice pics. But, I don't think the AE lip in the back flows with the front lip that well.

Whiles your photography skills are phenomenal, those wheels are extremely ugly and do not go with your car at all. The SSR Type C's looked far better.

I guess the rare old-school JDM wheels don't appeal to some of the people on here. But I appreciate your comment.

I am sure they are appealing on a more matching car like an AE86 corolla mkIII supra, but not on 5th gen maxima. Remember though, this is just my opinion.

They never made the correct negative offsets in order for these to fit on the AE86s. These wheels are directly off a R32 Skyline.

With the money you are willing to (not) spend, you can probably buy 4 spare tires. You will save on gas money. It's a win-win situation.
