eheeheh maybe I worded it wrong..
what I meant to say was, now that you have staggered offset tires, does the car handle better? worse? fuel comsumption higher?

A good offset always makes the maxima look better!

Its not staggered all that much It suites my driving style since I want the front to give way before the rear end does, its much more controllable IMO. It handles a lot better than my previous 18x7.5 wheels, but you have to consider that I'm running on much better tires and there is a lot of extra wheel width

My fuel consumption has been lower because i am in the process of lightening my drivetrain. I've seen improvements because I drive 500+ miles a week.

With the a 11 lb fidenza, 10 lb aluminum pressure plate, and 18 lb wheels, the fuel mileage has increased from 23.2-23.8 mpg to 24.2-25.3 mpg. Thus making all my fill ups now over 400 miles per tank at about 15.8-16.7 gallons per fill up. I'm fairly sure with the UDP and eventually my piggyback fuel controller I can make it up to 26-27 mpg on a maxima with all the bolt ons

vsamoylov: I was trying to get everything filled up. I didn't want to regret having a sunken in front wheel

hey larry thats a sweet setup...

iirc didn't you have 9 wide on 265s in the front before? I was wondering why you didn't go with 9 wide on 255 or 265 like last time...the rears are definitely hot...

hows the clearance between the AP BBK?

unless you oversteer, staggered wheels does nothing. my guess is you already understeered, and now wider wheels in the rear will only promote understeer.

Rubbing issues with anything over 245 in the front. I drive the car everyday, so I opted to go with less tire up front. As for BBK clearance.... You'll have to see for yourself. Lets just say a toothpick would feel rather...... tight

JSutter: not sure yet, i'm waiting for the next road course event in Feb. I wanted the rear end so planted that i'll understeer before anything. I am quite an amateur, so this works for me as of now. However I've noticed that many fwd competition cars like the RealTime Acuras are running staggered setups also (IIRC)

It actually looks higher now... haha. I raised the rear 1/4" inch and the car looked lower when the older wheels were tucked in.

I want it to look like your car or ChromeSE5 with a stillen lip, but I drive way to much to get around with that. The car itself is low but since the AE lip doesn't make the car lower, it doesn't look right from certain angles.

It looks low here, now imagine with a stillen lip. But from the side it looks high

thanks for everyone's comments.

Brian: you'll have to ask Andy for the offsets, we had to call Japan to find something that cleared the front brakes.

I'll have to take a side profile shot tomorrow

That car looks freakin sweet! That's my kind of style, not all riced out like most cars here. I'm surprised you could fit wheels that wide, especially in the front.
