anyways, here are the stock ricers tails which i hated.....


and here are the 2k tails.........i know, it needs a wash, hard to keep up with up here.


what do you think? im on some other forums, people were saying the new tails dont match up with the clear sides, but hey......cant please everyone eh?

The 2k1 SE (?) tails would have looked better, IMO. And yeah...def needs a wash.

 

I would have to agree SE's wouldve been better. Car definately needs a wash. You went offroading?

 

lol, no offroading here. well sort of. im stationed in upstate NY, its either snowing, or melting. the roads are constantly covered in crap. theres no way to keep a car clean here, other than not drive it. it stinks. even the interior takes a beating. *sigh*

Eww...the red tails are hideous on any Maxima.

 

I like them. Looks more classy.

They look okay... the good thing with these is that if you ever want to paint em to look like the black SE tails, it shouldn't be that hard (before anyone asks, there is a write-up in the 5th Gen Stickies).

 

Not a fan of the red tails and your muffler. That single tip looks funny.

 

I like the old ones better. Those red ones do not look good at all.

 

Paint them black, they'll look really good, even better than now.

Depends on the color of the car. My father-in-law has a silver 2002 with the tails you guys call ricers. There is no way either the CF version or the all reds would look right on his car. I personally don't like the all reads at all on any color, but it's only my opinion. I think they look like stoplights glued to the backend. I think the CF surrounded ones would have been a better choice for your darker gray car.

love the car man, but I'm not feeling the tails.. to me they stick out and don't flow with the car. I'd do the tint mod with them if it were me. But if you like them.... I wouldn't mess with it. We all have our own tastes, and everyone is different. I

 

well i agree to an extent. if i were into showing the car or just being "cool" with it, i would actually like to debadge it and tint all the sides and tails. but the idea im going for is steallth. in the near future i plan on boosting it a lot. so my thing is to keep it as stock like as possible. and i know the 2k2 tails were stock, nothing says "hey officer dont look at me" like car that is as plain looking as they get.

but i agree with you, in the end, id like to tint everything and also do the rims over in gray lustre with a polished lip. but i think thats it for exterior mods.

The new (to you) taillights look good. I've always diskliked the ugly chrome lights on mine, but would rather put on the dark housing lights that came on 3.0 SE's i think. Somehow i have a dead bee in my taillights too, and it's obvious since they're clear and shiny!

 

ha ha ha, there was a dead fly in mine! lol, how heck do they get in there?
