300zx Wheels

Okay, washed and waxed the car/front wheels so I figured that was grounds for a new thread.

Only have the fronts on at this point, I'll get the rears on when I get the tires. And yeah, I took a bunch of pics.

Are you still thinking of painting them? I think they'd look friggin great painted gunmetal or matte black.

Meh... we'll see... the other thing about painting them is that I wanna get another set of rears and run rears all around... so it'd be pointless to paint em now because I can't paint em all...

They look pretty good. I'm a big fan of the tires, too. I think you should have waited and found some 300zx Chrome rims. Those would look better and not as plain. Also, what happened to the Nissan center cap on the wheels??

The tires are 225/50-16. They're the discontinued Bridgestone RE750, look pretty sweet and handle very well. Unfortunately I had to buy cheaper tires (Kumho Ecsta 712s) for the other rims since the RE750s were like $150 apiece and I'm broke as f\/ck. The TT rears (which I will be putting on the front) are 245/45-16 btw...

Honestly, I like the alloy look more than the chrome look, I think it contrasts well with the car. Chrome does look pretty decent on my color car though. And I shouldn't have waited, because the price of all four rims + 2 brand new tires = $150. I drove 6 hours to get 'em.

UNCDooD, they're awesome and you should get some... limsandy's still selling her set I think...

Dooooo itt, act fast... NA or TT? Just make sure that they're true and you're good, they look really good.

If they're TT and true, maybe I'll trade you my 7.5" wide fronts + tires for your TT rears...

the ad didn't say if they were TT wheels. if they are TT wheels I'll probably keep them that way and have staggered wheels on both cars.

Also keep in mind that stock chromes are heavier and narrower... but they do look better in low light.

Looks cool. I'd like to see em' in chrome. I've always wanted those rims on my car but I just got a set of 2006 350z rims.

Yeah, in chrome they would probably look good, but the regular "alloy"ish color actually looks really good in person, Akumachan agreed with me after he saw 'em.

Sakura, she goes by Saki.
Good luck on getting some more tt rears, that would be sweet. You have any rubbing up front with 8.5" rims? Mine are only 8".

My tire and wheelwell are pretty muddy, guess I slowly tracked through a mudpuddle at some point. Other than that, I just need to realign my driving lights and tighten up the adjustment screws (you can see that one is aimed waaay up, I haven't reaimed it yet) but I'll probably need to use a wratcheting wrench at some point (cough).

Yeah, I went by OSH a few weeks ago to get a set, it said $30.. and it was really $100. Since I was looking at the 7 piece set and the 8 piece was $80, it didn't make much sense, but whaddya know....

Anyway they're freakin' sweet and I want some, but it's not something that I'd be willing to spend $100 on...

I will, however, be willing to borrow yours for awhile.
