calling quits. pics of how it will remain as of today

3 years, 30k miles and $10,000 in mods, finally calling quits. SADLY enough after 3 years of rockin a bone stock interior, i had just started to work on it but no more. calling quits. i've been VERY spoiled lately. within the past 1.5 months ive laid down $2500 into mods like its pocket change. ive noticed that the #1 reason im employed right now is to buy mods for my car. 80% of each paycheck goes toward mods and its a very bad habit. so i've decided to stop at this point and give myself some time to grow up. still had plans for a system and new speakers as well as bbk and two tone leather and possibly S/C down the way.

anyhow, after my dash kit arrives, im just gonna repaint the front lip and the window spoiler and im all done. not even gonna bother painting the front and rear bumpers anymore.

on to the pics:

added two weeks ago: Kenwood DDX6019 7" DVD player with touchscreen. was plannin to add navi to it but no more.

a great unit with excellent fitment. looks factory, highly recommended, specially for the price !

I really like the Kenwood.

I think you may just be in a mood, but if you do stop now you have put together a very nice Maxima that you can be proud of.

Are you still thinking of getting a 2nd car to keep miles off it?

Very nice place to stop. I think anything more might be excessive. Just enjoy it and keep it clean.

One of the best looking 4th gens I've come across. One thing to point out though is that you really can never "call it quits." There's always those little things that pops up that you want to change/upgrade.

Oh wow, thinking of letting her go?

540i/6speed is alot of car, VERY classy though. Keep us posted, a BMW in your hands would turn out very nice.

Well if you sell i want some parts.. LOL I Love the 4th gen max i think its a classy car if done right, gives all the maturity look you want while still able to get that power down. Good luck if you go w/ the BMW, it will suck when something breaks (lots to do repairs.)

If I were you I would of stopped a long time ago, save up your money for other stuff. Your car is one of the best looking 4th Gens out there, remember how many people said if they could have any member's car, they would pick yours?

definitely do not get an 530i, waste of money. Save up some more and get a 540i pref auto since i think their manual in that model is very annoying to drive in rush hour. And the auto is very quick. However in my opinion I would take a lexus GS over a 5 series any day, except fot the m5 but thats an M .

also how big are your rims on the max, and whats the width? Is it same front and back?

you make the 4th gen look so nice! people comment on why i'm investing in my car. i show them how amazing a 4th gen can look with your pic and they kinda rethink what they were saying.

definitely a good place to stop modding. looks great as usual!

Yes, again very nice max koskesh jk. I have admired the car as well and I can't wait to get mine looking similar to it, lots of time and money.
Don't even think about selling it though, that thing is sick and as sophisticated looking as a bimmer. Bimmers will give you lots of problems too.
Keep modding and do the 5sp and S/C, you will love your car much more.
Good luck.

Edited for the Truth.

Man I've always loved your car. I'm sure you'll change your mind and still do a little here and there. If I put 80% of my paycheck into my car It would have been done looong ago. I can never decide what to buy next and I usualy end up getting nuthin. Good luck on the BMW.

Best looking 4th gen i've ever seen hands down, and I don't think many people would disagree. Good place to stop because minus serious engine upgrades (swap, FI) you've done it all with class

Your max is awesome. 4th gen is the best.
I see how you feel about modding.VIP Maxima, but when you begin there is no way out. I had a 4th gen and my car got totalled. I had close to your money spent on it and it was gone all in instant.
But guess what, bought a new car, 03 max and I'm back to modding. About this car I'm not as **** as I was about 4th gen for some reason.

Can you give more info on headrest screens? Did you get them with headrests? Where and how much? More pics would be nice.
Thanks

Ebay Auction

got em for $220 shipped. you can always win the auctions for less than $250 shipped. just search ebay for "2 x INNOVATEK IN-909 ". they are 9" lcd's already fit into headrests. your choice of black, gray or tan. they tilt and the poles can be adjusted to fit the car. fitment wise, they look almost factory-ish as the size and shape of the headrests goes with the seats. leather quality is more poor than OEM and leather texture is different than OEM but you have to REALLY pay attention to realize these. i'm a picky **** person so take it from there. ill try to get u pics

they come in 7" and 8" as well but 9 is the way to go since you're paying the same $$
my friends were freaken amazed how big the screens are. together they light up the entire back seat and interior. LOL

www.mp3playerstore.com is the site

Why don't you just limit yourself to taking only 10% from your paycheck every week and putting it aside for mods?

i was thinkin about their SD card DVD players as well but after searchin around i found out that they are VERY cheap looking, fitment sucks and the ones that come with LCD screen have such bad quality that you cant see anything on the screen in the sun. my friend has one of their dvd players and his entire setup sounds weak due to the headunit.

i can honestly say my bose speakers sound much better with my kenwood headunit.

you cant go wrong with these for the price and quality. thats why many other .org members have the SAME lcd's. the only thing that differs is the size of the headrests and the texture on the leather. but nobody will ever notice that besides the owner
