Got a Momo Steering Wheel...

I got sick of the stock 96 maxima steering wheel. It was so big and the grip so thin I thought I was driving a bus. This feels much nicer.

I have a B&M short shifter and got new tan leather shift/ebrake boots and armrest cover from some website I saw in the group buy forum. I have stock SE gauges with silver rings and blue LED lighting. I have a pretty ****ty pioneer deck but a nice amp and 2 12" subs in the trunk. Thats it for the interior. Im thinking of getting Momo pedals, shiftknob, ebrake handle and then getting some throwback 18 inch Momo Arrow wheels. How do you think those wheels would look?

What did you do with the cruise controls?

Pull the bulb for the airbag? or?

nice steering wheel, but question. Aren't you worried of what will happen god forbid you get into an accident?

Thanks for the comments.

I didnt install it, I had it done somewhere, the same place that installed the remote start Viper alarm (tamagachi that you referred to) which I dont think was supposed to be done on a manual.

The airbag light blinks red all the time, and I dont have cruise control. I drive back and forth on long trips to school a lot and cruise control just made me sleepy at the wheel so Im kind of happy its gone.

About getting in an accident, i dont drive the car every day and when i do its around campus with tons of stop signs etc. Im only driving the car until June and then it will either sit in a garage with the momo arrows until i need to drive somewhere or will sell it and get a plasma tv or something. (will be working 100+ hours a week in nyc starting july)

hey that wheel looks great! where did you buy it and how much ? how does the steering feel vs the stock steering wheel?

you should be able to pull out what is it called the gauge cluster ? and put some black tape behind the air bag thingy which will block the light from being seen.

Got it from Ebay from an online store including the hub adapter for 220 including shipping. pure sex compared to the fugly stock wheel, and it gives the illusion that the car is actually handling better.

I can pull out the cluster and cover the light or take out the bulb for the air bag warning but havent got to it yet.

Looks ok, I suppose. For that money, I'd have probably sprung for a 97+ wheel or a wheel from something else, though. What I like about Momo is those OEM-like wheels they offer that are the same sort of "shape" as an OEM wheel and have an airbag and what not.

Maybe it's just the pictures, but I've always hated seeing that back part where the adapter bolts to

I don't go to Farmingdale, but I live right near the campus. There is another maxima that looks just like mine. I go to school at Cornell and have been here for the last 2 months so it probably wasn't me.

I believe the wheel I have is called the Momo Tuner and it comes in silver and black. The price I paid included the hub adapter so I think those other Momo wheels that are more "stock" looking with airbags etc. would be much more money.

I love the look also, but like shurik said, you'd get f'ed up with a 200mph airbag flying at you also so wth, why not =)
