Very nice. I forget, I think you had a thread, but what projectors did you go with?

Also, why no clearance lights?

Because of awesome and precise CE build quality, one of them fell out on the highway. I took the other one out for good measure.

Too close. I had to move the battery around.

Thanks guys. I should really just fix the pass side sidemarker back in and then route my intake piping to the driver's side corner light hole.

But yeah, anyway, I'm still having a few issues with the driver's side projector and the battery coming loose when I corner hard and pushing the bulb out of the projector just a little bit. I need to find a more permanent way to move the battery.

I'll post some fully installed pics when I've done this.

They fell out? How? Didn't yours have tabs for that one screw to go through, or what? Hmm, odd.

Alright, seems that I've come upon a slightly more permanent battery position. Haha. I'll take some installed pics. They're aimed more or less perfectly as well.

Patrick, I didn't actually have the screws.... They're what I need to get to hold 'em in. But the socket for the little "ball joint" in the sidemarker is in the wrong friggin place, I need to relocate it by about 3/4" to have em fit in well.

Alright, I've gotten a PM or two asking if I'd do retrofits for others. The short answer is: no, unless you're local.

The long answer is: I went into this pretty gung-ho, and while it worked with my projectors without any cutting of the support, it might not with yours. In addition to this, I'm not sure how well my "weatherproofing" is going to work. I'm really regretting not silicone sealing the entire thing now, but at the time that would have been a major PITA. I couldn't guarantee anything fitment-wise with the "recessed" style of retrofit until I had already done the retrofit. I also will not do any harnesses, I can send you the schematic I used but I did the entire thing on my garage floor and my back is suffering because of it. Not to mention, I'm still kind of a newb when it comes to soldering. In addition to this, I don't have a dremel or a drill, I borrowed them--that'd be pretty shady for me to use other people's tools for a profit. I also work full time and on the weekends I have quite a lot of crap to do to my car. SO. If you're local I would have no problem helping you out just for the hell of it when I have time, buy me dinner or something. But for someone I haven't even met in person it's a pretty big stretch. You should look to maxgtr2000, he's a great guy and has done many many retros.

Anyway yeah. I'll get some fitment pics in a bit.

Ahh, I see. Yeah, one of my clearance lights is aftermarket (from car-part.com or something) and the ball joint on it isn't *perfect.* It fits, but it's not as tight as my one OEM one.

Some more pictures with them installed (try to imagine there's a driver's side corner light as well)

Now to turn em on...

I'm kind of itching to get some fogs that match better... and the IS300 fogs look like they'd fit with a little modification...

It's not brightness or color I'm really worried about so much as function (output) and style (clear lens/projector style instead of cloudy) Some IS300 fogs should give me... interesting output in bad weather, as well as fit the same style as the headlights.

Hahaha, I think that plan got nixed. I dunno, yellow fogs are cool in a strange way but I don't really like the style. Plus every moron with a coupe around here has gotten yellow aftermarket fogs and runs only their fogs when it's raining. Kinda

looks ver nice man!!! I really like the recessed look much nicer then the other way. I think if i was going to do this id do it the same way you did it. For some reason when people retrofit it the other way, the projectors always look a little off angled from the other one. Not sure if it is or not, might just be me.

some of the best looking headlights I've seen on any 4th gen.

Color is great, look on and off is great....looks like it SHOULD have looked from the factory.

Now just get some bulbs to match the fog lights to the headlights (no big deal, still looks good as it is though)

Hey now. I have yellow projector fog lights retro'd and I run them by themselves all the time. Pretty much if the car is on and the headlights aren't, they're on. Kind of like running lights. Ironic that I should have bixenon projectors in the headlights and only run them when necessary, but meh. I run the headlights a lot when I want to show off I'll have my headlights on more soon, I'm sure, since I'll have 50w potential (35w to 50w range potentiometer-controlled supercharged ballast) and much clearer lenses on the projectors.

You'll soon find that this will become an addiction. Like a sub-addiction to the addiction that is modding cars. For me it started with the headlights, then I retro'd projectors into my fogs, now I'm upgrading the headlights again. After that, I'll have HIDs in the fog projectors as well, I'm sure.

I am going to devote my life to finding out where you live and leave a flaming bag of dog poo on your front porch

yellow fogs > every other mod out there, including Volk wheels, superchargers, 6-piston calipers, and headers
