The funny thing is I never liked the wheels on the Altima..mainly got them bc they were local and had pretty new tires. But I think they look pretty damn good on the 4th gen. They are 17x7.5 on narrow stock 215/55s =/

M800 raleigh with rockshox duke, avid mechanical disc, xt rear lx front, rapid fire shifters. Finally got my hands on a tool kit so I can do my own wrenching and replace my shot BB. I also do some road riding on my old school trek with Campy Record and Chorus parts. I finally hit my flat speed record of a constant 35mph for 2 miles (motorpacing).

I know you love the ambers Eric, I am debating whether or not to go back....but I really like what Ludacris has done making the corner lights the blinker. for a clean ride!

That's only because ALL wheels look better on the Maxima

I think the RX7s are my favorite, they look like you mean business, but all of them look really good.

Just painted them; just paid for primer, sandpaper, paint/clearcoat. Finish held up perfect over the year I had them, same for my stock SE 5 spokes...

Nice, mainly XC? Where do you ride around? I wanna get a roadbike and try that out...I have a neighbor who rides 80 miles weekly up on Angeles Crest, sounds ridiculous.

Thanks Eric, nothing on your car tho I let a shop cut into the fenders...I'm too much of a klutz, so I'd rather not risk it. Fortunately none blown yet...you?

17x7.5...got them for $480 with almost new tires. Gotta thank Frank (jdmmax) for the corners...he gave me the idea and helped me with the wiring.

Ehh don't wanna paint the lip, I beat the hell out of my car...I don't baby it. It's already scuffed and scraped up, if it was painted it'd look horrible. I wish I still had the stock fogs...got them stolen the week after I just got the car.

Thanks for all the comments guys

I liked them best by far...light and wide, the flush 245s gave a mean stance. I'm probably the only one here that likes 16s, love the meaty tire look and you get a good ride. I just wish I could have found someone who'd switch a pair of their 16x7.5 with my 16x8.5 for the front so I wouldn't worry about rubbing.

16x8.5 +35 and 245/50/16?

I'm just switching from a 245/45/16 to a 245/50/16 and will also be running 16x8.5 +35... do you rub on suspension compression or just at full lock?

The K1s were +37 offset...but yea 245/50s, 8.5" wide. They rubbed with compression, and turning (no need for full lock). Just doing a long sweeping turn with a bump in it would make them rub, hitting a dip on the highway would make them rub, hitting a raised bump would make them rub. Couldn't really drive the car how i wanted so decided to switch them out.

But then I'm pretty low...when I was on Sprint/AGX with the same Koseis I NEVER rubbed. What are you dropped on?

I'm on Progress. I actually consider that pretty damn low--I had some MAJOR scraping problems with the 245/45s and LTB2 over speed bumps or even rough pavement, especially with the way I drive. I firmed up my Konis and I don't really have to worry about rough pavement any more, but 245/50s should help with speed bumps. I just hope I don't start rubbing my fenders.

The LTB2 was unbearable for me...had that when I was still on sprints, hated hearing the bar scraping mounds of cement dropped in the middle of lanes by cement trucks, etc. What kinda wheels are you getting?

Yeah, the LTB has been pretty much scraped flat on the bottom. But it makes you uber leet, so it's all good.

I've got Z32TT rear wheels all around. I'm moving from a 245/45 to a 245/50 for tire selection--I have some 245/50 Falken ZE-912s sitting in the garage. (going from 45 series RS2 to a 50-series 912 is going to be disappointing to say the least, but they ride well and last more than 4000 miles)

I must admit to considering a loan when I saw your K1s for sale.

Ahh...I considered the Z32 wheels too, couldn't find any local with decent tires tho. I'll be dropping the price on the K1s (some slight damage on one of them that should be easily fixed) and gotta get a new thread up with pics now that I can really sell them (since they're off the car).

Unfortunately the Z32TTs are about 21lbs apiece, although the offset is slightly better suited for a 4th gen than the K1s.

I'll keep an eye on the K1s, although I was hoping to get some 17x9s this summer if I got enough cash...

I usually ride down in San Diego, PQ trail and a trail in Downtown San Diego. I have only ridden in your area once (well more of orange county) over at the Santa Ana River trail. I went from Corona to Long Beach, down to Newport the over to Irvine, through Tustin then Anahiem, then back to Corona. Roading is a different beast than mtb, but ever since I started, I feel so much faster when I XC. I am starting to get into technical trails but I am only doing small drops (like 2ft).

What about you? Maybe one weekend on a Saturday morning, you, my gf's dad, and I can go hit up Mt. Baldy. Always wanted to try a century on my mtb uphill lol.

The Alti wheels look sweet, but the bronze 350z's are definately sexy b!tches on yer ride! Thats sweet.. what did you do, have them powdercoated?
I love how you switch your wheels consistantly, constantly changing the look of the ride in a subtle way!

I haven't rode in over a month now bc school was getting in the way but I'll pick it up again soon. That sounds like a hell of a ride, how long did that take you?

I'm mainly riding the San Gabriel Mountains (Glendale, La Canada, Pasadena) bc those are real close by...sometimes I head out to Chino Hills State Park or Brea (Carbon Canyon) but that's like a 50 mile drive out...but Chino Hills especially is worth it, I don't even feel like I'm in the city when I'm at the state park. You guys go out to Mt. Baldy every saturday? Man I won't keep up with you guys, esp since I've been out of it for a bit. I usually ride with my gf and her bro (he's on the .org too) so mb all of us could head up one day. how many miles up is Mt. Baldy?

Thanks man, your car is clean too... just painted the wheels myself. I usually get bored with how my car looks after a year and switch it up...wish I had more money so I could be switching Volks/Works, etc. but eh this will do

I personally haven't been up there but the route my gf's dad takes is between 60 and 100 miles with, I think but not sure, 11% grade. They have a race up there called beautiful agony. As far as that ride through irvine, it took about 5 hours. We stopped at a lot of places including performance in Tustin. I want to ride chino hills as I have heard there is a lot of climbing. Im there every so often on saturdays or sundays. If I decide to ride out there one saturday morning, ill try to hit you up via PM or AIM.
