Yeah, HDR pictures tend to look like illustrations. I've taken a few before with mixed results, but I need to find CS3.0 or something to mix the pictures well.
Lookin' good dude. What camera are you using?

This is funny. I just learned about HDR photography today and plan to wash the Max this afternoon and experiment with HDR shots at sunset/after dark tonight. Yours look fantastic! What software are you using?

Would be nice to see this applied during daytime, as well.

Either that, our your idea of reality is different from mine.
Then, again, I'm using 1360x768 resolution on a 32 inch monitor. Checked it, at work, still looked pretty real (minus the trees in the back).

I have to agree that it looks much more like a drawing. HDR photos often do. If you've ever played around with a regular photo in photoshop, you know that by changing some settings to extremes will make it suddenly look not at all like a photo.
Take a look at the brown tiles on the columns and the pavement. The texture and exposure is hyper real. The way the light reflects off the paint and details of the car is also very artistic looking.
E, I like the third photo you added a lot too. Why don't you put up the normally exposed source photos for comparison? Side by side there will be a large difference.
