The advantage of double-clutching is that you don't have to wait for the 4th gen's crappy synchros to spool the input shaft before you can slide into the previous gear. If you do it right there's no resistance at all, it's quite satisfying (and saves the synchros). Also lets you downshift quicker... blah blah. Bottom line is it's uber leet.
