Inspired by the .org --> PICS

Hey guys - I'm relatively new here, and have to thank maxima.org for inspiring me to pay more attention to my car. I had originally decided to keep it stock, but have since been convinced otherwise.

My first mod was slotted/dimpled rotors. They were the same size as stock (which is way too small, but it takes $$$ to go bigger)

The next two mods are shown below. 30% tint (3M film) and smoked side markers. Sorry about the bad lighting.. it's pretty bright outside.

The side markers were incredibly easy, and I owe Irish for his help. They look totally black with the lights off, but still look yellow/red with the lights on at night. In case anyone is searching, here are his instructions:

"pop the sidemarkers out
get some gloss black spraypaint (dupli-color in the small cans)
spray a couple light coats...just enough to cover, youdon't want it too thick
coat with a couple coats of gloss clear coat
done."

Stillen intake and FSTB are on the way!

Thanks for compliments. It's amazing what a few simple mods will do! And yes, the stock rims are on the way out in the next few months.

Not a whole lot, but I intentionally sprayed around the edges like to that. I actually went a little overboard on one and now the light doesn't shine through the front as much as I had hoped. If I were you I would cover the front of the sidemarkers and spray them from the side - should take care of that.

This is actually the first time I've heard about the fog light mod. I'd do a search, but post a how-to if you have one!

Are you referring to the "AE" style headlights, like these? Looks pretty slick...

It would also be nice to get a set of 02-03 HIDs, but it seems like this AE mod would be a whole lot cheaper. I wonder how they would look with that little eyebrow looking strip across the top

I Have AE headlights and i love them .. but you cant do angel eyes and HIDs on them like you can on the 02-03 Headlights.. I can be wrong but i think you get a really bad glare when you try to put HID Bulbs on the AE headlights (correct me if im wrong cause i would love to put some 6k on my headlights) ..

Thanks for the link - bookmarked it.

I think I'm missing the purpose of the fog light rewire. I don't really have any desire to have the fogs on without the headlights. What am I missing here?

AE headlight mod sounds doable and looks great. I'm trying to find a nice how-to but maybe its too simple to warrant one?

The fog light rewire i think its more for show.. but its basically a easy and free mod...

The AEs i believe if you have a 00-01 max, they would be plug and play (correct me if im wrong guys) If you get the 5.5 headlights you have to get a wireharness to have them work correctly
