New daily driver..........

After many great years driving my 2000 SE, I recently picked up a new IS350 as my new DD. My significant other now drives the Maxima, so it's still in the family!

I am really enjoying the IS, plenty of power, very smooth and quiet on the road. My IS has Nav, luxury package, HID's, Mark Levinson stereo, XM radio (fully integrated into the Nav/stereo system), and rear spoiler, and 3M clear bra. A perfect car for a 50 year old guy like me!

Are you even an admin or do you just relish in talking down on people? He was just letting the 5th gen community know he's switching rides. Chill.

Both are very very nice. Do you plan on modding the IS at all?

Also I saw you want to sell your supra, what mods and where are you located? also what are you looking to get for it?

I agree with both thoughts. I plan on tinting, not sure about tail light changes.

Sure he could've. A 6th gen Maxima would've been cheaper, provided much more room with just as much power. The IS's are sharp though, no doubt about it.

Cheaper, as in build quality?

Roomy, as in no more 4DSC?

Kind of defeated the purpose of the Maxima.

We all try to justify the purchases we make; we just can’t always prove the validity of our arguments.

Maybe you should head over to the Lexus forums and hang out with them?

WOW...
1. FWD = WRONG WHEEL DRIVE for performance driving.
2. 4 door sports car... as in 4DSC. If you don't know what that refers to I guess you DO belong in a 6th gen because that's where the maxima stopped being a 4DSC

LOL. WOW.
-I care... it makes driving much more enjoyable if you're an enthusiast
-not opinion. its a fact. one of the reasons why they have better resale value
-Nissan interiors tend to be very cheap and crappy. i was never impressed with any of their interiors. after 12 years yeah mines crappy. freakin clean, but crappy. the only thing im impressed with is the stock BOSE system it came with.
-well the 6th gen looks like a boat (thats subjective opinion). ready to go sailing? lol jk. okay okay more like a sporty boat. and no i don't consider the M35/45 boats because they dont look like em. i consider them luxurious sport sedans. well the same cant be said for the LS because those are straight up baller cars.
-of course you'll eat an is250 for a midnite snack. im sure i can give it a good run for its money with some modifications here and there too.
- ... same difference man lol.

well if i had a Lexus I would, but instead im here in the Maxima forums because I drive a Maxima.

this whole damn discussion is a subjective opinion!

the 6th gen is all bubbly. there are no lines to define it's supposed aggressiveness as what its marketed as. maybe a little on the front end but the rear end is way too round and also the lights just dont do it for me. the only thing i do like is the VQ engine and front end design of the 2007 models. overall i think nissan f-ed up on the 6th gen, losing the meaning of what the maxima was originally designed for.
the M is somewhat similar in design but you can see the differences. the curvature of the windshield to roof is a little more angled as well as the front end. also the line from the front fender is brought all the way back to the taillight which i love. the hood is a bit longer giving it that sporty look and also the entire canopy has a swept back design. theres also an actual bumper in the rear too. nissan did a great job on the design of the M class including each size engine with an option in RWD or AWD. it is much more expensive than the maxima but then again its more of a luxury sedan with a lot more power and better options. oh yeah and no overly large wheel gap

how can you call yourself a maxima driver if you dont know where the term 4 dr sports car came from?!! its clear that 6th gens are way far away from the 4dsc category...they are big boats.

Sweet rides! Congrats. Can I recommend debadging the I350? Everybody know its a Lexus and who cares if they know its a I350 (dual exhaust) or a I250... Think it would look a lot cleaner without the extra letters in the back.

Agreed, the only thing I like about the 6th gen over the 5th is the independent rear suspension. I bought my 03' after seeing the 04' at the LA Autoshow.
