My new 02 SE

Traded in my 97 SE 5MT last week for a 02 SE with 44k... I do miss my manual, but this deal was too good to pass up. Just finished painting the side markers and grill black...

You like? I like...

before

after

Looks very nice and clean. I like the grille black, but I think amber sidemarkers look best on black cars.

looks very nice!!

I am about to make a deal on a 6 spd 03 SE. On your manual did you notice that it was kinda "dropping" into gears insteadof sliding in?

I have an acura legend 5 spd, and the gears seem to be much easier on that car.

anyways, congrats on the purchase car looks great

The only thing wrong with the clutch was the engagement point was very high, but it was always like that from 50k to 140k when I traded it in. It was always smooth as butter, I took good care of changing the gear oil on schedule etc.

I wanted to wait around for a 02/03 6-speed, but I was able to get 3200 trade in for my car (dealer must have been dumb as nails... I wouldnt have expected to get much more then 2k for it), I had 2k to put down... and I got the price of this car down to 12,200.. so my loan is only for 7k.

Like I said.. too good to pass up, because who knows how long I wouldve waited to find a 5.5 gen 6 speed with low miles.. and how much someone would want for it.

Very rare to find a blk 5.5 with such clean paint! That bumper even looks pristine how many miles?

Have fun with her and I do like the new mods. If you ever want to clear out your turn signal I've got the lenses just lmk
