Mini Photo Shoot, Location: SLO

My girlfriend and I drove up this little mountain in San Luis Obispo, decided to take some pictures of the dirty ***** (the car, sickos). I am in no way a photographer, in fact it wasn't my camera :-)

And a view of San Luis from afar:

Yes it needs to be dropped more.. Any comments welcome

Sick shots...it doesnt get much better than that. On a side note, how big is the lip on those wheels? Looks good nonetheless, I like the blacked out grille too.

I know, it actually doesn't look as dirty as it really is...as far as wheels, 18 x 9.5 +35 with 245/40s all around...perfect flush in the rear, 15mm poke in the front which can be solved with some negative camber...

Lip is 3-3.5 inches, I like dish Black grill is ugly, just rattle can job, but from afar it looks sexy, need to AE the headlights...

They are called "M parallels" and were available on the E38 7 series as well as the E34 M5 (euro only).

No quality options other than JIC, plus I want my car SLAMMED I really don't have time to be tracking my car, so I am done with the performance enhancements, other than the occasional bolt ons...for now

yeah man, but its crazy ppl hate on the sportmaxs' not that wheel specifically but just the brand in general. i'm thinking of the 962's do you think 18x8.5 will be too wide for the front? i dont want anything sticking out and having to do the negative camber thing, i want it right there on the edge. its messed up b/c the size below that is 7.5, they dont make 8's

They aren't bad wheels, they do their job for a daily river...

As far as width, 8.5s with a +35 offset will be fine, they MAY stick out like a mm or two, but it won't be noticeable like mine...for the rear though you would have to add a spacer, about 10mm if your going with the same width all around...

Of course you will have a tiny lip If you wanted that kind of thing...

2" is straight, i mean its not a 3.5" lip like the 9.5s but ya know. you know what, b/c of the price i think i'll go 9.5 in the back. thats what i loved about the ADR M-Sports, but i'm not really a big fan of the mesh, especially on the Max. but since you said its that perfect flush, i might go that route

I have a flushness shot...I would go with 255/40s if you don't want the stretched look (which looks like *** if your not slammed, soon I hope dammit ) and you ill need to roll your fenders because you WILL rub on big bumps...

yeah, thats gonna be a sick max when you're done. thats what i love Nissan, you can put wide joints. unlike the hondas who can't go above 7.5 and still look good. you see them from the side big 18 and 19inches, then from the back looking like some bicycle tires

Maxima's still don't have a ton of room honestly...but its nice to be able to fit a 9.5 inch rim under the stock fenders..

I like the idea but it still has look of a stock GXE with S13ish wheels. I think the right stance + spacers in the rear + lip kit would totally change the car. Glad this is on a Maxima forum so we don't have to have the Sportmax/Rota battle that everyone else seems to. Look forward to seeing where the car ends up.

Yeah I know, still needs about 2k invested in it to look like I want (air suspension to slam it, lip kit, spacers)

Camber the fronts and put Big Mac sized spacers on the rear, bash up the fenders and put that b on it's nutzzz. But yeah, I understand about the school thing. Tuition is way high compared to car stuff, bothers me every semester. The pendulum swings the other way though and you we be able to have your car the way you want with ease with some real loot in your pocket.

rear fit is perfect, but too much in front (nothing a little camber won't fix). i see no point in poking on the rear since there is no chance of cambering. the only reason you should see poke on a car is if it has air and is above ride height.

Yeah a little camber added would seal the deal, but I see no point until I can slam the car...who knows when that will happen...

Weird! I honestly have no idea, I don't remember there being a guardrail along that entire road....
