New Guy checking in here...
how's it going everyone? i just picked up a 99 Maxima SE with only 84k on the clock. it's absolutely gorgeous. since my daily driven Civic got totalled out, i figured i'd get me a sporty sedan with plenty of pickup and not vanilla in style (see Accord and/or Camry) so i believe i came to the right place. here's a couple of pics of the car after a wash, claybar, wax, and complete detailing:
i am really happy with the purchase. this car was obviously taken great care of, which is hard to find these days. it took me about a month to decide on one, and since the paint is pretty much flawless, i had to have it. i payed 7700 for it and it's worth it. what do you guys think?

although i love my new-found daily driver. it'll always play second fiddle to my first love. i'd like to share that with you guys. here you go... 1987 Chrysler Conquest.
mods:
Garrett T04B S-Trim @ 19psi
2.5" exhaust... no cats, no muffler
delphi injectors
MAF-Translator with GM MAF
Walbro FP
NGK wires and plugs
all emissions, a/c, heat, cruise, ABS, and other unnecessary stuff is gone.
enjoy!

sorry i put it in the wrong forum. chalk that up to being a Maxima forums newb. and sorry if this thread sucks... i'll DESPERATELY try to impress you next time
the Conquest was dyno'd about a year ago and it was very roughly tuned. it was under 10-1 on the a/f chart and still put down 245rwhp and 313 rwtq. makes for a pretty fun car considering the weight loss it's gone through. i have no clue what numbers it is now since i got the translator dialed in pretty good.

thanks for the compliments guys. even though it might have seem a tad overpriced, the dealership i bought it from touched up every paint chip for me that i told them to fix before i would buy it. you can't even tell it's been painted. and yeah, i'll probably end up getting a drop on it as soon as i get the rest of the finances squared away. oh, and thank you mods for putting this in the correct section.
and i LOVE my maroon interior on the Conquest. a lot better than plain black or tan

sohc in conquest sucks at life.. its like one of the only sohc motors i think normal people are ok with upgrading. My friend has a red one thats pretty sick also has a nx2000. Guess hes into the old school needlenosed hatches

while most people want the DOHC, i'm not looking for an all-out drag motor so the SOHC will work for me. it's on the easiest motors to work on and we're breaking barriers every day with little to NO aftermarket support. that's what i like about the Starquest community.
