The top pics look better...the silver wheels play nicely off the paint color...imo painted wheels = too much of the same color

props for giving it a shot. i don't like the wheels in general so the color matched aren't better or worse. other than that i really like the look of your car - gtr badge + side skirts. you're almost there!

I think the color matched wheels brought the whole car together. It looked great in person. If you do another color, i say go with a gun metal or some sort of dark finish. I'd change the grill though. It looks too "chromey" next to the blacked out headlights. Get some skirts too and it would be perfect.

Thnx essential...i've been thinkn bout doin the grills flat black...worried bout painting them tho...thy'll eventually start to chip, it'll look like crap and dont feel like painting them every month...but i am leaning towards it...also smoked sides/rears...been changing whole look of the car..as you saw.

max, if you want to paint your grill black it shouldnt be hard. if you have a sander i would sand the whole grill down with some 180 grit and work up from there. once you got it all sanded and smooth and such you can paint. Paint in rattle cans has gotten a lot better than years ago. i would do 4-7 coats of paint. each one lightly done, dont lay the paint on in every coat like a madman. let it sit a day or so ( if you can in the sun) and you should be good to go. I cant see it would get real chipped up in a month. maybe retouch it after every winter to keep it fresh looking.

anyways the rims. love the chrome. if anything go with like a gunmetal grey or brushed look. rims the same color of the car look to rice or drowned out in to much color and takes away from the real look of a car.
something like this

or love this

I'm all for color matched wheels......but this is the first time I'd say that it doesn't look good. I like your old setup better.
