My new ride: 2004 M45

Black on black
Every option (navigation, heated/cooled seats, voice recognition, intelligent cruise, etc.)
22,XXX miles

Have my 4.5gen for the days I want to have fun. The M45 is for when I just want a nice, luxurious, but not dog slow cruise. And the Rav4 is for bad weather or winter when both the Maxima and M will be garaged.

Saw it on OT. Very nice, those cars look so sophisticated and were definitely overlooked in their time IMO.

Nice house, too. Corner lots FTW

Hehe, thanks. I love the fact that they're somewhat rare. IMO, new cars all look alike. I chose this over a 335i because I figured I don't need another rocket car and it was half the price (plus the 335i has a $30k car interior). The styling is also reminiscent of the older gen which I really liked too. About the house...spring and summer kind of suck as I have 7,000 sq. ft. of grass to treat and mow. Winter sucks because I have more sidewalk than driveway to shovel. The garage is what I'm happiest about though. If only it was a three-car, I could fit the Rav4 but I figure one extra detail a year will keep it looking good.

yeah, they're definitely a good bargain, that's for sure.

Our old corner lot house in Alaska had one garage/driveway on one street and another garage/driveway on the other street and about the same amount of grass, so I know how you feel about maintenance, but it's worth it

I have a set of TEIN springs that will drop it 1" coming. Will take close to a month to receive them which gives me enough time to get some heavy tint. Going for a semi-VIP look.

You should come check it out in person. Either that or you'll see it when I get time to have it tinted.

I agree, they where very overlooked, hopefully they won't be too hard to find when the time comes for something more luxurious

This particular one took a year of constant Autotrader monitoring to find. But the combination was somewhat rare: black on black, fully loaded and under 25k miles.

USDM Gloria. Very nice. How's the V8 feel? How fast is it compared to your max?

Max has more low end and more top end but the 3.5 has a mid-range dead spot around 4,000-5,000rpms due to the cams and the SSIM. Power delivery in the M45 is so much smoother than the Maxima though. Very civilized but it lets you know there's a V8 in there.

Thanks, that's one of the reasons why I like them so much. I've only seen one other in a 30-mile radius over the past three years and it was white. I love how it's styling is so different from everything else on the road. Retro FTMFW!!!

I really love the looks of that car! It is indeed, very rare, I hardly ever see one. Black on Black looks sweet though.

Deff nice Ty, one of my favorite rides. I thought you said it had the dark wood option ?

You need to get the 3M clear bra on the car, I know a guy who comes into our shop to do em on new cars. Doing it on the side it will cost ya very little. I'm getting the bumpers fixed on my R and I'm going to get the bra on the front and on the rear bumpers. Rear gets scratches from krap being put in the hatch.

BTW did you go get your car tinted today ? Cesar should just let us have em tinted at his house or something.... I want mine tinted before it gets REALLY hot out. Blk/Blk leather non prefforated FTL

I might be in for the 3M clear bra. And no, didn't get it tinted today due to time. Had to take it in for an oil change (can't do it myself or Infiniti won't honor the extended warranty) today. Maybe next weekend.

Not really a fan of chrome. If I got wheels, I would get something similar to what I have on my 4th gen.

Even if it was, I probably wouldn't have gotten it. I bought this so it would be a luxury cruiser. Had I wanted another fast and fun car, I would have bought a 335i 6spd.

There are SOME wheels I like that are VIPish, but clearly mesh wheels are baller. I had some on my 1st gen Q45.

Before my drop too.... it looked dope when it was slammed even all around with 2 finger gap in the rear and no gap up front.

those wheels are diamond cut not chrome but i like the mesh idea. i'd like to help because i am very into vip cars and would like to see you get off to a good start.

ssr ms1. sporty look and step lip.

ssr vienna lm-9. a little classier, reverse lip.

bbs lm. the undisputed champion of mesh. very pricey.

leon harditt bugel. a different take on mesh.

work vs-xx. not my favorite but a lot of ppl like them.

have you checked out vipstylecars.com? theres a couple y34s on there and tons of general info.
