Nothing new outside the car.

New stereo in the car, though.

Pics of that to follow.

I guess it's mainly my choice in wheels, to be honest. Had I gone with a spoked design, I probably wouldn't get it so much.

But to answer it, no. I wasn't going for VIP. I was just wanting to go with something 'different.'

The wheels are 20x8.5s in the front, and 20x9.5's in the rear. I have 9.5's on order for the front that should be in any day now. That concave look has really got to me.

No, I don't rub.

I'm considering ditching the headlights for retrofitted R34's in the near future as well.

Suspension is in the works too. I'm going liquid on it.

I dig the pictures. Perfect pictures annoy me.

juice huh? that pretty cool. i'm sure you've seen the one on streetsource thats on hydros (with the flames). that was the lowest a32 i could find so it was my mission to go lower than him. mission accomplished.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in getting any lower. I want the adjustability, to be honest. I'll be running accumulators for ride quality... Just a basic one pump/4 dump setup on 24v.

That's the old AoN one, I think... It's old school. Neeper wheels and everything. I dug it back in the day, but it's a little too out there for me.

yeah its definitely dated, i was just looking for the lowest one i could find and that was it.

i don't think going too much lower will be an option for you anyways with those wheels/without fender mods. solid rear beam kills that, but since thats not your purpose then i geuss it doesn't really matter. you should get a ton of lift though. i only get a few inches.

Was your car actually moving in some of those pics, or was it the camera? I've never seen a max with those wheels before, definitely different.

Can you turn in that thing? lol

The reason people say VIP style all the time is because of the wheels...basically once you get to the 20's, it looks like you are trying to be "baller" and "baller" equates to looking rich, which equates to VIP.

Actually, no, it has NOTHING to do with the size of the wheels. It's the style of the wheels.

And it's not 1999 anymore. 20's are easily attainable. Not 'baller' anymore.

I can turn lock to lock still.

no the reason say vip style all the time is because they have no idea what they are talking about which is exactly my point.

don't confuse the acronyn V.I.P. (very important person) with the japanese "vip" (rhymes with whip) style.

I think with the right kit, it could pass for VIP. Maybe just a lip. The R34 retro would be nice

i wouldn't be opposed to seeing you go vip with it. in fact i'd love it. but i'm gettin so dern tired of people saying anything on decent sized wheels with a drop is vip. its the new freakin buzz word. i know you know what i'm sayin'...

no need to deny it, and its not just you. its all over the place. theres a lot more involved in vip than wheels and a drop. to put this car (even though it is lookin good) in the vip category is sort of insulting to those who have spent thousands of dollars and done the exstensive mods that make a car vip styled.

the difference to me is that some were completed with going for the VIP look and one's in the process, but like the OP said thats not what he's going for so lets drop it, nice ride

It's possible.

But they'd have to at the very minimum go with the 9.5's all the way around. And lots of fender mods to go lower than I'm going.

Going with the 18's insted of 20's that these wheels come in would be a stellar idea too, if you're going VIP.
