Another Daily Rider

So I picked up another bike.......

2002 Honda RVT1000R - commonly known as a RC-51.
1000cc V-Twin motor.
DynoJet Power Commander
Sato full exhaust system.
EBC brakes.
Michelin Racing Slicks.
Diff sprockets for more relaxed highway riding.
Reversed shifter- MotoGP style shifting.
Stainless brake lines.
And a bunch of other misc crap.... *my* pics will soon to come, but here is an identical bike to mine.

Power is superb, low end of this bike is just nuts. Sound is mesmerizing to say the least, it sounds MEAN. And I mean super mean.... like a cammed out V8 almost. No scream here, its all loud n low booms. It handles pretty good, but I didn't get too crazy with it yet due to the cold slicks which I had to ride on. I've had it up to 100MPH and it ran smooth, this bike used to be raced by a guy I bought it off of. Its pretty nice.... needs a little bit of work to be a show stopping bike. Its unlike any other sport bike I've ever riden, its awesome !

Now I gotta either sell or keep my Kawasaki ZX6R.....

Sweet, you'll love the better gas mileage.

Well I don't know about the gas mileage, not really a great concern to me... I know it should do much better than any of my cars !

Compared to the Kawi I am used to, this bike is a beast..... Kawi has a ton of top end power, this bike I don't ever have the need to rev out past 5K as it has so much low end power. It sounds phenomenal and I am slowly getting used to the reversed shift pattern along with pretty hard starts off the line- taller gearing due to sprocket changes. I would like to try OE sprockets as I do still have them, but I do quite a bit of high speed riding and the lower cranking @ 80MPH is a nice welcome change. I recall it does 4K RPM @ 80, and my Ninja runs 7K @ 80MPH.

Now I need to get some fairings ! Weeble you know where I can get a passenger side one ?

Oh and how come I didn't buy yours ? well I wasn't really in the market FOR a bike.... but this bike was a such killer deal.... PM me if you want to hear what I paid for it. I would be st00pid to pass up on a deal like this one. I went out there to look at the bike with my friend on our bikes, liked how it ran, how it looked- came back the next day in my Legend and my friend drove the Leg home, and I rocketed away on the RC. Been loving it ever since.
