1999 4th gen max with 2009 maxima se 19's....h

RuSSiAnMax415- I couldnt tell if you were being sarcastic or not, so I'll just not answer. I dont think I've ever ran an Evo, but the specs are not far off.
Its just one big pissing contest!!! I like to participate at times, but my love for cars is much more mature than that. Being able to brag is just a bi-product/benefit harharhar. I see your point though, but I love performance and with that comes competition and comparison.
freakin neo-gen ricers.
blah blah bla... 1/4 mile... blah blah blah... maxima... blah blah blah... evo... blah blah blah... wanna race?
if your modded "performance" import car gets smoked by stock cars you fail.
heavy wheels, f**cked up geometry, and chrome lights ftw.
being slow doesn't matter if you look good doing it.

i was being 100% serious.....im just thinking....in the end....smogging, registering the car, and all that extra good stuff would be a pain in the ***....and no i didnt mean a modified evo....stock they run a low 13....with a couple mods in 12's.....do u think its worth....doing all that in a max, when ull never get what u payed or cant even pull the motor and sell it....i tried i-ming you on aim.....but ya, do you have a 3.5 on 3.0 timing?

Hmm. I'm on so I dont know why it didnt go through? I'm about to step away from the computer though.
A 4.5 gen isn't for everyone, I'm not saying it is. Its definitely worthwhile to me,personally, though as I dont think I could be as proud of a new car that I slapped a couple things onto just for the sake of being fast. Not to mention, the worth of the vehicle would constantly have me worried about wrecking it or doing anything to decrease the value.
The Maxima is proven, and I can replace whatever I want for a reasonable cost without being dependent on a dealership or whatever for various reasons.
I've seen the demand for these motors and cars on the org and if it ever came to trying to turn around and sell it, I think I could get decent money for what I've put into it. It is on 3.0 timing equipment unfortunately, yes.
I'd like to go to the effort to make it run 12's but I just dont care enough. I know if I tweaked on it a little more and put some drag radials I could make it happen but the reality of it is...a quartermile time means very little to someone who just wants a solid quick daily driver.

No offence, love maxs... But ask yourself what you'd rather have.. I'd take that evo in a heart beat.
However i'm here for the point we all SHOULD BE HERE.
I personally LOVE the 09 rims on your 4th gen. I'd do it and post pics up asap!

Half of the arguements being made are about performance over a 19" wheel/tire combo. Read in a little bit. I would do the 19's on my max because 1) It is slow 2) It is not going to get any faster because why would anyone even try 3) I have my go fast car to satisfy that itch. I love them both for what they are. One gets me from point a to point b and the other just goes short distances...
