try throwing some yellow over them, there's a lot of warm colors in the pictures, and the wheels are a cool color, that;s making them stick out, but the design works for me!

yea but the stock wheel weighs between 16 and 17 lbs.

if you go and throw a 25 or 30 lb wheel on a 4th gen, you will DEFINITELY feel it.

that is HORRIBLE logic. I guess weight is a factor only directly related to racing vehicles and has no effect on any other moving object in existence.

What does it matter if you have a huge nismo banner on the windshield?........its not like...........................

especially on a 14/15 second maxima hahaha.....all the new cars run low 13's to mid 14's....even the hyndai sedan runs a 14.6........embarassing! oh well the max still looks good......its just not as fast...

the fact of the matter is, heavier wheels WILL make your car slower and less efficient. If it doesnt bother you, thats fine. But I'd rather my gas mileage, ride quality, acceleration, braking, steering, etc. all be the best they can be.

I think my wheels/tires might weigh a little less than stock. The are kinda wide though. I do average 23-26 mpg though

not very good. My point was that the weight of the wheels make a difference regardless of your intended use for the car. What is your point?

uhm....those wheels are 19 x 8.5....yea they are probably a little heavier, but they are also wider.......and looks great....im not here to argue, i just dont think a maxima is a race car anymore(did at one point lol) till all these faster cars started coming out is350, g35/37, the 350z's, acura tl-s, evo, sti, ms3, etc.....

to be honest i dont know what you were trying to prove up there....my maxima handles 150 times better with coilovers and 245 tires than stock......

Everything else constant, lighter wheels will provide better handling (among other things) than heavier ones. I never said anything about stock or aftermarket suspension.

I'm not trying to argue about "race cars" either. I'm just saying that you can not DENY physics. I was trying to understand how other cars being better performing justified inhibiting the performance of your own.

I run 245 tires as well (on 16 inch wheels). In terms of straight line acceleration, I'd put my car up any of those vehicles in their stock forms...in fact...I have. But that's a little off topic I'd say.

245 on a 16" inst that kind of dangerous? and in case of straight line performance u think you'd be able to take on an evo/sti?????????? hey there are those cars who have the vq35 in it, turbo/sc, or a build 3.0w/ 00vi or Mevi.....but i still doubt you'd be able to take on alot of the newer cars.....then again i dont know you or your car....so i can't judge.

the wheels are 16x8....its fine. My car has the vq35 in it and besides real world tests, specs in fine with the cars you are referring to.

4-6k 4th gen + 2k (3.5 swap with boltons, or 3.5 swap with a little spray) will easily be quicker than an evo/sti for a fraction of the price in a straight line. I'm not sure what your point is really?

Either way, those wheels look nice, but for all the cash you'll shell for those I would really go with aftermarket. (coming from a guy who is using Rays 18"s off a 350z track edition)

You dont need spray to beat an evo/sti. And you can were pretty generous with your prices there too. I'm seeing 95 Maximas go for 2-3k every day locally and motors for 700 alone. People would rather buy their horsepower than build it though, cant blame them.

well thats because of reliability....right?

4th gen vq35 swap or a awd 300hp evo 9 .........both simular in straight line performance but what would you rather have....and yea your 3.5 is prob faster then an evo in straight line performance when its stock...but what if u shed that extra 1500 into a evo....it has alot more potential than a max...they make a tkit upgrade for an evo for 1300 that puts the car into high 11's low 12's......

i wanted a vq35 swap too....i accually had it planned.....but i realized it might not be worth putting 1400 into a 4th gen...when its 10- 13 yrs old.....and then after I'd really want something new....i would never get the $ back that i invested into it......

theres alot of cars that are cheap that you can make fast....dsm talons, syclones, mk3 supras....any car can have potential.....but would you rather drive a talon that runs 13's or a evo that does...

I dont think you can compare the two. You are talking about the difference in 20+k and at most 7k. If you want the new car, pay the price for it. Personally, for NUMEROUS reasons, I prefer the older cars. Go race that 11 second evo and tell me how comfortable you are with braking something knowing how much its going to cost you to replace it. I have friends with these cars and they sink way more money into them to keep them reliable than you would a car like mine. Plus, if the worth of your car is dependent on a quartermile time then there are much better options.

cars are bad investments of money. enough said.

worth of the car doesnt only depend on a quarter mile...its what makes you happy.....great handling, power, whatever people desire....some like engine swaps some like big spoilers ...lol but the hassle is completely diff....the w a 4.5 gen, its hard to get a smog, the more mods you do the more you loose value....and who is gonna buy a 1995-9 nissan maxima that had its engine replaced except an already nissan tuner. it makes it alot harder...

SE 16s are about 19-20lbs. He's already got 24lb boat anchors on there (and so do I), honestly I didn't notice much a difference between Z32TT (44lbs/corner) and G35c 18s (50lbs/corner).

Having said that I'm an advocate of lighter wheels, but not only is that typically a pretty penny (if you don't want to rock FD 16s for the rest of your life) but the guy is obviously going for style. No biggie.

lol dude youve got it backwards. The cars are worth like 4 grand tops...how much more can the value decrease? You think highly modified evo's dont have emissions problems? Do you honestly believe that the value of an EVO is uneffected after extensive modification and abuse? People who are looking at Evo's sure as hell dont want to buy something all raced out and messed with intentions of dropping 25k. Who's looking at 4th gen Maximas? well...people with a little bit lower standards (when compared to those looking for evo's).

freakin neo-gen ricers.

blah blah bla... 1/4 mile... blah blah blah... maxima... blah blah blah... evo... blah blah blah... wanna race?

if your modded "performance" import car gets smoked by stock cars you fail.

heavy wheels, f**cked up geometry, and chrome lights ftw.

being slow doesn't matter if you look good doing it.

yea u are completly right man! i cant argue that its really unexpected for a 4.5 gen flying by an evo...so your saying you run most of them down?
