Thats just strange to me b/c I'm on 245/45 potenza 040s and my bolton 3.5 + nitrous (110+ traps...) fully hooks in 3rd, and sometimes in 2nd, and thats with a 6 speed. N/A I can sometimes hook in first, almost always in 2nd. I can't imagine his car is any quicker than mine, I very highly doubt it. So I just assumed it was a problem with lopro or stretched tires giving bad traction.

Well, him runnin 225/35 on a 19x9.5 might have something to do with it. lol

You will defnately be quicker than him down the 1320. The car is not set up for the strip at all though. (as you can probably tell ) And when ever it runs down the strip, it'll be on whatever wheels and tires it was on to go to work the day before.

There is another 4th gen in the area that from a 2nd gear roll, looses traction at the top of 2nd, shifts to 3rd and has to lift off the throttle a little to keep from banging the limiter because of the tires breaking loose. Engine was built in his backyard. He's all motor on 350z 18s. 245/40. I dont know what type of tires he's on, but I assume they're cheap.

I'm not taking away from your car at all by the way. Your car looks clean as hell and will take both of these in a 1/4 mile run at the track any day.

I dont see the scratches on the lights you mention, but the fenders are cracked because fiberglass sucks for exterior body parts.

Yeah I use slicks at the track because they're cheap and I can. That doesn't mean it's not quick on the street, and that I've never ran at the track on street tires (have pulled 2.0 '60s on street tires).

And yeah, 225/35 stretched on some 9.5" wheels is definately something I would do on a RWD car when I want some skinnies up front. That's why it breaks loose in 3rd. I wasn't trying to be an ***, I was just curious as to why it breaks traction so bad. Tell him to try some 245/35 or 255/30s on the front next time! Will be an all new beast on the street. I couldn't imagine doing a 3.5 swap and boltons just to run 225/35 stretched tires on the front and never hook up!

I know your not trying to be as *** bro. lol Your pushing alot of power out of your setup so you know what it takes to spin at that speed/gear ratio.

He might actually be going down to a 215/35 sometime in the future. You think he rides low now...
