New pics: 01 AE

My car has been in the shop for the last two weeks getting the IACV and ECM replaced. Washed the car this afternoon and pulled out the clay bar too! Car needs a wax BADLY, but that will come a few weeks down the road. Went out around dusk and took some pics. Also, I need a tripod, I'm getting sick of taking pictures at night by setting the camera on the ground, curb, etc.

Thanks for all of the comments. Tint may come this summer, but drop is unlikely any time soon.

Yea, I know, I need a tripod to do night shots well. That's the only way I can hold the camera still enough.

Kneel on one knee, use the other knee to support your elbows, and hold your breath as you focus and snap, kinda like you're firing a rifle.

Just giving you a hard time is all, the car looks good and the background selection is cool.

I've tried that, and I'm not so good at it. Oh well. I'll pick up a tripod this summer sometime. Thanks for the comments, though.

Nice clean shots. Can only imagine what a tripod would do.Get some tint and you'll be set.

I don't know a whole lot about ISO settings. I have a cannon A460 (POS, I know) but i put the CHDK firmware on it and it has the option to change the ISO settings. What would be a good range for dusk/almost dark shots like this?

because the camera is stable use the lowest number iso available, it's somewhere between 60-100 on your camera.

Think of ISO as "gain" for light, as gain becomes larger so does noise/grain and that is why you want to always use the lowest ISO settings that your circumstances allow.

granted I do not have the same camera you get the idea
