95 Revive Update (56k dont do it!!!)

UPDATE:

It has been a long a slow process of getting the car "revived" but it has been worth it. I have completed it for the most part but have yet to take pics. So the following are the few pictures that I have in my phone because I cant seem to find my camera after the Halloween party.

This is what it looked like to start.

This is the shell I traded to get the Maxima. She was my sleeper. But I got sick of FWD wheel spin, so I retired it. I still have the motor and all that goes with it in the garage I may put it in something else just for "show and go" or I will sell it all and finish the S2k.

Found this pic of the motor.

Ok back on track.

It needed some work and some must have(s) for me.

Engine:
Rear and front valve cover gaskets
Removed Ricer intake (previous ower)
Stillen Pop Charger Intake installed
Coolant Flushed with several hoses replaced
Tranny Fluid Changed
Powersteering Fluid flush
Brake and Clutch fluid flushed
Painted Valve covers
Replaced AC Compressor

Exterior:
99 Grille
99 Trunk Lid
Red Clear Tail Lights
Shaved key hole and badges
Replaced Bumper Lenses and Cornors with cleaner new OE ones
8k HIDS
Removed Pin Stripe
Removed door moldings
Painted door handles to match when painted
Refinished all wheels and Painted with same gunmetal paint as IS350s
Reapplied uncoating where required
Painted the chrome muffler to flat black

Interior:
Custom door panels/ and boots (pictured in previous tread)
Removed the "Should've been left in the 80s" Velour seats
Good Condition Black Leather with power
SE Gauge Clutser
Custom short shifter. (not ghetto) I removed it cut it had top shaved and treaded so shift ***** can be screwed in
Veilside Shiftknob
Removed Purple tint
Replaced cracked center vents
Replaced Blown Insturment lights
Pioneer Head Unit
JL Audio 2 12" subs
Kicker 1600.2 amp

Suspension Brakes:
Replaced blown Struts with KYB GRs
Replaced Cut springs with Drop Zone
Replaced both front strut mounts
Replaced front pads and resurfaced rotors
Replaced LR caliper
Replaced pads and rotors in rear
Suspension setup is temp

There is much more, most of which I cant remember and some that are too stupid to mention.

The whole reason I got the Max was b/c I had a race car, a bike, a drift build, and an S2K. The Max replaced my stolen GS300!

Only the S2K remains, sold the S14, and the bike is being turned into shifter kart! (ignore the mess I was cleaning out the garage, the ex was a pack rat)

Thanks to the Max the S2 can be a garage ***** till I can build it.

This is what it looked like the day I was taking it to my buddys shop for prep for paint work.

I wouldnt take my camera to the shop so this is all I have of us painting it.

still in prep booth

I painted it Honda S2000 Gran Prix White, then laid blue pearl (I hate when pearl looks yellow), and then of course clear. I know there are some hardcore Nissan ppl and Honda Haters who are freaking out b/c I used a Honda color but its one of the brightest and cleanest whites I could find. Plus the guy from Dupont told me that it was the best white I picked to work with the pearl I choose. So I will get the real pics of it soon! Again I just gotta find my camera!

Thanks for looking as allows I welcome all comments.

Would it have been too hard to remove the headlights and signals, instead of taping over them?
Nice build thread btw. Be sure to keep us updated.

LOL! I knew someone was going to ask that didn't expect it to be the first post. Long story short; I was preping the body and taped up some areas to prevent the engine and other parts from getting dirty and when I came back from my trip I found the car like this. What happened is my buddy hired this apprentice kid who likes to over work and thought I was taping for paint and taped the whole car up! I undid it all and removed everything that needed to be removed. He's a good kid just tries too hard and just got out of a local Votech school so he learned the ghetto way!

Thanks I'll post more pics soon!

Could stand some new lighting to go with the fresh paint. Did you put on a 97+ trunk lid while you were at it by chance?

I did infact put the 97+ trunk lid and tail lights on. It makes a HUGE difference IMO! As far as lighting, are you refering to doing some "custom" work with headlight/bumper/cornors. B/C I have been bouncing the idea around but kinda like the clean OE look.

I didn't necessarily mean custom, just anything better than those worn out '95 headlights on the car now Some brand new OE (or OE replica) headlights and a decent set of clear corners can go a loooong way. If you're ok with doing a little wee bit of work and spending a few dollars, there's cheap and easy upgrades for the factory headlight housings. Check out the 4th gen. FAQ.

In for the pics! I agree with the blue pearl, looks sooo much better than that yellow pearl crap.

Good luck with the rest of it too
