The videos on the race track were with open Y-pipe.
Not to be compared. If you heard inside the car at the track..... well I don't think the microphone would even register.

Thanks. It's very enjoyable to drive on the street to and from school, now. Quiet (menacing noise outside probably) when cruising and amazing when you let it rev out or get on it.
It was way too loud when I had this as my exhaust:

Nice race.
I couldnt tell what was going to happen with me at the end...I was either going to have a seizure or go get my glowsticks.
Exhaust sounds awesome. A little loud for my taste, but the tone is amazing.

edit: I also need to install wheel spacers in the rear... I have 15mm ones sitting around, just to buy studs.

Haha I was scared after I started seeing strange lights, I thought that a picture that would scar me for life was going to pop up or maybe I would see something naked that I would never want to see naked... which is basically the same thing as something that would scar me for life BUT I know what you were really up to.... you were trying to subliminally suggest that the Cobalt was better than a Maxima... yeah thats right! Years of training has turned my eyes into deadly weapons of truth, I saw those frames in the video with the text "Cobalt FTW!" you didn't think anyone would see now did you!?!?

Ehh it's a turbo and direct injection 4 cyl that takes all of 3 major mods to make 330-350whp (varies). The interior is more attractive and quality than my Spec V's was, and in general is a pretty great car. The driving assists and computer toys on that car are pretty amazing for what it is, also.

Found some old timeslips... going to make comparisons.
These are all N/A
Me with Injen intake untuned on street tires #27 vs steven (some black 4th gen maxima with boltons, mevi, and gold wheels) #25 on a warm day.
Notice steven's .007 reaction time.

Intake, SSIM, NWP spacers, cattman headers/Ypipe with open Y-pipe, full interior and nitrous kit installed untuned on slicks. #57 -1700 DA... 33 degrees! Track stayed open for w/e reason.

SRI, Vias delete stock mani, NWP spacers, cattman headers/Ypipe with open Y-pipe, full interior, tuned to 6700 with mild summer timing on UTEC, +500DA 57 degrees. #77

Hoping for some 12s soon... even on street tires!

Not even close to the 08+ cobalt SS. Doesn't touch it in handling, build quality, engine output or potential.
Now throw a VQ35 in a 02-06 SE-R Spec-V + supporting mods and I can agree with your argument. I'd rather have a VQ over that DI I4, although the 4cyl stock block can handle more power than ours.
This is coming from someone who bought a sapphire blue 2004 spec V (they only come in 6mt) brand new back when I was in the navy. I loved that car. It was totaled in 2006 and my maxima is the replacement.
Also coming from someone who's room mate bought a red 2008 turbo cobalt brand new about 1.5 years ago. That car is pretty great for being FWD. Handles amazingly, is fast, and nice interior with emphasis on technology stuff.
