vq35 swap, DONE

i actually finished this swap about 2 weeks ago but never posted it in here. lol i posted it on all the other forums im on but didnt even think about here until now. here you go

so i blew my engine about a month ago, so i picked up a vq35 out of a newer maxima (not sure what year) along with a 5 speed tranny because i was unfortunately auto. so after 7 days i have completed the swap and just wanted to share it with u guys.
heres my old engine (vq30)

heres my new engine and all the other stuff i bought!

here it is as of last night!

swap went pretty smooth! and considering this is my first engine swap and i did most of it myself im pretty proud lol. so theres the maxima! i will post a video of this thing as soon as i get a camera thats not a cell phone lol. its loud as hell!!!

i just got 2.5in piping all the way back and threw on a apexi n1 i got for free from a friend.

dude the swaps were soooooo easy. eveything bolts up. the hardest part of the 5spd swap is drilling the holes for the pedal.

i was honestly surprised i could do this on my own. everything dropped right in no problems, only reason it took me a week is lack of tools. a friend of mine would drop by after work everyday to bring me tools from his shop and i could only use them for the hour or so he was there.

but after everything was in the b*tch started up no problems besides a small vacuum leak i STILL havent found lol

congrats, another fyi if you did not install the clutch pedal brace and you get a heavy clutch the pedal will break over time.

I had to seem weld the entire clutch pedal assemble and braces on the brackets and know everything is fine

oh yeah use locite on the master cylinder bolts as the nuts comes loose every few months
